The way the commentator were talking, you'd think Riddles was just waaaay better than anyone else on his team, but Soar, Lagrimace, Supergirlkels and Bursty(ok, he wasn't on screen for very long, but he seemed really good) ended up playing just as well, or better in the case of Soar.
I'm really surprised that Captain L didn't use Pikachu or Pichu. I'd imagine that Sephiroth struggles against both. They're small, hard to hit, and they're much faster than he is with quicker moves. Did he drop those characters or something? Why use Sheik over Pikachu/Pichu when he was one of the best Pikachu in Ultimate?
@@lokks2130 I'm not an expert on these characters. But I'd argue that Pichu (and probably Pikachu too) are much harder for Sephiroth to even hit. They can crouch under his sword too. And then can kill easier than Sheik.

There's a reason Pikachu is considered a top tier by many, while Sheik is not. And Pichu used to be one of the most dominant characters pre nerf. Although I can't deny that VoiD and apparently Captain L have seemingly dropped Pichu for Sheik, so maybe that's just their personal preference. Then again, VoiD was a Sheik main in Smash 4.
I really enjoyed Soar doing so well in this crew battle! Easily the MVP and I enjoy his Spehiroths movement and decision making a lot.

Captain L has dropped those characters and only plays Sheik, he's working on some other characters atm so his sheik is less polished
