The violins and the sundew wrapping around the ants got me moving uncomfortably in my seat! Nicely done Josh.

Very nice job Josh.. you're a natural on camera and a fab communicator. I found you in the Guardian piece after the Channel 4 News piece on the Peat bog near Manchester.. you just drew me in with your knowledge and absolute passion. Oh, and keep the kecks n braces.. they could be your ID, like David Belamy with his beard. 👍😉

Loved it, Josh! Found you through the article in the Guardian online. Would love to do something similar here in Belgium!

This is wonderful. I remember my Nan used to talk to me about Britain’s wild flowers and had a readers digest book with a flower pressed next to each listing. She had found them all and put them in. Wish I still had it. Looking forward to more.

Love this! We have Yellow Rattle in our wildflower meadow which we planted to help control the grass species. We also have Orobanche hederae which helps keep our ivy under control!

Very much enjoyed your video - good speed and clarity, love the relaxed lying down , can you afford a better microphone (get rid of the wind noise)?

Excellent my friend. Theres very little on UK botany now adays on TV. That needs changing and stuff like this is badly needed on UK TV. Not just animals and birds.

Brian Laney you are so right Brian. I wanted to see the red helleborine and the fly orchid a few weeks back when in season and i was struggling with the exact location. Being about 500 meters from a major bird reserve (although i knew it wasnt in the reserve) Leighton Moss i thought id ask there for help. Was told straight out its a bird place and there is no interest in this and no one here knows where it is (or they wouldnt tell me). Its just a tiny example how far we have become detached from wild flowers in the UK.

    Hi Jo St..
Can you do a program on thistles? Especially how to distinguish various types of thistles from each other?
BTW, I'm living in Turkey. We dont have much resources here in the way of teaching us to recgnise plants. Bu I generally follow italian and british websites to learn. Flora of Turkey is not exactly the same with the flora of UK, but it is broadly parallel..
