Pretty sure I've watched near a hundred of your videos, and each video has dozens and dozens of unique plant species. Just wild how diverse plants are, for now. At least we can visit conservatories when my son grows up to see what remains! Can you imagine making these videos hundreds of years ago, what a banger the world must have been back then.
where I live in Australia, they are building a bypass, when doing the environmental impact study, they found a new species of a tree, weird thing is, it was found within a stones throw from the already existing highway, that has been used for almost a century, I've worked restoring Australian bush and it still amazes me there's plants in our own backyards, undiscovered, botanically speaking.
Duuuude! Thank you so much for doing a video in the DR. Please please visit the two botanical gardens we have. One in Santiago and another in Santo Domingo. I would love to hear your opinions about them!
My ex is gonna be visiting the DR soon for a vacation while I stay behind & watch our kids. I'm sure she'll waste the entire time drunk on a tourist beach. I'm jealous to say the least...I would love to see this habitat in person
the female I work with started gardening and loves keeping caterpillars trapped until the cocoon into butterflies or moths LOL - shes a freak of nature - i dig it
I've moved several to my yard from native plant rescues. Iris, Mayapples, Bloodroot, Trilliums and ferns of every variety. Nothing as cool as the SE in the spring. Much love from north Georgia.
When the hell are you going to come to Minnesota to see our botanical beauties and unique geology of the area! ( Many scientific and nature sites in the state with limited activity, just saying).

DR has rocks! You should visit the amber deposits, and the source of the beautiful blue pectolite called larimar.
Larimar is so beautiful, like a piece of Caribbean turquoise water with some wispy clouds…very pricey even at the big Gem and Mineral shows 🩵
Great to see these palms and cacti in habitat!
I sit through the ads for ya Joey, my small monthly isn't enough for the content you post. Never a bad video!
Amazing ecosystem! Thanks for sharing!

Hey Joey,
I love it when you film desert plants.
Please make a longer video of the desert plants 🙏🙏
Those cactus trees are wild man.
❤ awesome thanks for this amazing video
The adaption on that palm looks like a natural fog net.
How do I get to go all over the world to look at all the beautiful plants the world has to offer? This dude goes to all the places I wanna go to.
the sound textures as you walk across that rock are unreal...
is the 1 closely related to the prickly pear, also edible?
Flowering cacti, NICE!

Does she know there’s like a cannibal civil war going on next door? Wait a minute..your Ex? Did you book this trip for her? 🤔
@@lightreign8021a cannibal civil war? Well, it should be over quick

I too am a dense cluster of spines, no chlorophyll, no stomata... I'm not sure about doing it all or maximising efficiency, though.
3:27 Ohyeah a hitchhiker
You consoling that opuntia, at 3:57, had me cringing due to possible glochids.
Should come on up to to good ole West Virginia, spring ephemerals are just gettin ready to go off

Hey Tony! Maybe it's time to dive into the world of macro algae? It might be a good way to de-bastardize the beaches for you.
Have you been to Madagascar? I am planning a trip June 2025. Suggestions appreciated
Is there an old castle in the area? Hidalgo Manor or something, I could be wrong tho
The palm "bark" I suspect evolved to protect against the bending action in the wind.
Awesome!
big fan of the Harrisias
I think you may have spotted a lippia .sp when you called out lamiaceae. Sweet.

Is this old footage?
Yes
So… i’m allowed to water my Cacti like we’re in the Carribean lol
0:34 imagine looking at that palm trunk on LSD.

Lots of spikey veggies
oh man lignum vitae - very cool
Alright!!!!
This is what TikTok videos posted to TH-cam look like. Still interesting, if slightly annoying.
These beautiful photosynthetic bastards
Please, I beg you, no more vertical video torture...
Beautiful bastards
pineapples plant
I love cacti and really enjoyed this video but your cursing takes away from it.
VISIT HAITI
lmao not right now
Indeed. No lawns, no nasty highways or urban corporate sprawl. 🤪. He could list the culturally relevant plants used in cannibal voodoo anarchism.
Lol yeah, give Haiti a shot.
That’s suicidal.
