So I would have lost my career that I spent 10 years building up to that point, lost my ability to support and provide for my family, all because in my own self-determination, I didn't want to risk taking a new vaccine developed using novel technology when I have had COVID twice, and have verified I still had anti-bodies for the virus. Such a draconian measure would potentially shut a business down, and would have put my family and I into poverty, and made me unhireable anywhere else.
He also tried acting without Congress to waive student loans, forcing Americans who didn't go to college, or already paid off their studen loans early (my wife and I) to pay off others' student loans. SCOTUS told him no, and instead of taking the rebuke, he said he's going to do it anyways in some other way.

Term limits are a good way to combat corruption. You will get less return on your investment in bribes if the person you're bribing has a set term limit and will be replaced in a few years' time. At the very least, it will make corrupt people work harder to try and convince new justices to take bribes rather than just letting them get comfortable controlling a justice with a lifetime appointment like they did with Clarence Thomas.

Imagine a guy who has spent the last 50 years in office demanding term limits, the irony is thick. But, if this doesn't include Congress too then its just for political talking points. And, we aren't a democracy we're a constitutional republic why is that so hard to understand. Its funny though, this is the same administration that said its a threat to democracy if you question the courts, I guess that's only when they find Trump guilty otherwise they better fall in line. I still want a good answer for why he said screw you to 14 million voters like myself in the primary. Thinking you can't win isn't a legit reason to screw the voters and if its his mental state then maybe he shouldn't be behind the desk right now. But, since he knows he's a lame duck I assume we will see all kinds of crazy stuff the next 3 months.

Obama was supposed to have appointed a justice before leaving office, and the Republicans blocked him from doing so, which allowed Trump to appoint 3 justices in four years. Not having term limits leaves the court susceptible to becoming extremely biased towards one political party should multiple justices die or decide to retire during a single president's time in office. It's laughable how poorly designed the system is. It also encourages corruption-- you're going to get a better return on your bribes if the person you're bribing holds that position for life, versus if you were to try and bribe the person who has a set term limit and will be replaced in a few years time.
