    This is so amazing ❤ anacondas are my favorite animals and I really envy those who had a chance to see them in the wild 🥺

    Excellent production. Should have some extended video on the Discovery Channel. But in a 5 minute period you certainly do cram a lot in.

    That is a lot of adventure packed into 6 minutes! Good to see local interactions. Blows my mind that you got to chase anacondas in the amazon. Well done!

      @@MadeintheWild For such a trip and such an animal you could have easily done a 30 minute episode teasing your viewers until the large conda found at the very end. Your viewers are lucky to not have to sit through 17 minutes of Brave Wilderness hype before the big reveal, haha! How were the mosquitos, Jack? Anything interesting learned from staying with the locals and see how they live?

      technoendo haha. And the mosquitos, horrific!! We were actually there at the wrong time in the wet season and mosquitoes were the worst I’ve ever experienced. Just relentless. Locals very friendly and you know what I learned... basically you can be happy in the bush being self sufficient with no worries at all, no social media, nothing. Just nature and life to deal with. Bliss.

      @@MadeintheWild Friend of mine went to the amazon for condas and said the mosquitos were so bad almost everyone was wearing breathing respirators! Your video seemed to be mosquito free, but haha I'm having a chuckle that this was far from the case! Living life simply is indeed a powerful lesson. Good on ya.

    I find it sad that people find snakes scary, snakes are such beautiful and stunning creatures, i saw 3 snakes in the wild when i went to Madagascar, i saw one small snake which i couldn't remember the breed, a hog nose snake and a big boa constrictor which i had the pleasure of handling. It also makes me happy seeing people interested in wildlife. I myself hope to see more animals in the wild in the future, i am currently studying Animal Conservation at university and with the help from that i hope to help protect and save animals.

      Georgia Packet that is fantastic Georgia. Great that you are studying for something you really enjoy and passionate about. Your trip to Madagascar sounds fab! I haven’t been there and would love to go , especially to see the chameleon diversity there!

    Have anacondas descended from titanoboa?

    • @MadeintheWild
      @MadeintheWild  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! Titanoboa is an extinct genus of boas, very large ones! 40 ft... anacondas aren't descended from them but they share a common ancestor (they are both in the same family of boas). Jack :)
