Probably the second reason I am struggling to move from where I live. Access to the ocean. Not a lot of nature around but then boom, the biggest chunk of nature out there. Don't go as often as I should, but just the sight, smell (sometimes, massive sewage issue with neighboring country) and sound of it all really melts away problems and opens thoughts up.
My early years, until I was...5-6? I grew up in the mountains in Colorado. We lived with grandparents who had a small horse ranch and was surrounded by forest. Forever grateful I had that a formative experience as short as it was.

@@Zikofj down in Southern California. I have to say I am "bipolar" to this thought process as well. Like you, nature, our history etc is awesome to me. But then I have a flip side of technology and what could be. And the aesthetics of stuff as simple as neon/led lighting for example.
We are a inbetween time that's for sure. Millions of years of survival in our DNA but now we have things like the internet, cloud and AI and about to hit quantum computing which will change everything.
