Thanks for your posting this recording. Your description, lamentably, has Moore, Dean, Ehrlichman, and Haldeman meeting in Feb. '72 to discuss the Senate's probe. Obviously the meeting couldn't have happened that early since the break-in itself happened in early '72.
The captioning for the posted tapes claimed La Costa occurred in ‘72 which would have been unlikely if the men were discussing Congressional investigation. In that case the La Costa meeting would have been before the break-in itself. I am confused. Was La Costa in ‘73 and about the coverup?
Good catch. You're right. The info was taken from John Dean's The Nixon Defense (p.216) which mis-labels it as February 8-11, _1972_, rather than 1973.
Exactly right - just look: Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, and Trump have submitted and passed balanced budgets every year and reduced federal spending every year............uhhhhhhhhh...............
Joseph, I lived and recall Watergate very clearly. If you understand the entire Watergate scandal you know that the president was not involved in planning or had prior knowledge of the Watergate burglary. His failing was to try and cover up the doings of persons under him, who persistently told him that neither they nor anyone at the White House level was involved. While covering up even the doings of others was an act of obstruction of justice and therefore impeachable, keep one thing in mind: There was no breach of national security and there was no attempt to destroy physical evidence and he never defied a subpoena. President Nixon had every right to destroy HIS tapes before they were subject to subpoena and never did. When ordered to do so, he turned them over.

F.Y.I: The bit about never wanting the tapes to come out is from around 32 mins 15 secs

Republican presidents really practice what they preach, don't they? Law and order, a balanced budget, peace through strength, less government.

Watergate will seem like child's play if and when the Hillary e-mail issues are ever brought to the surface.
Not even close. Now, Trump, though...
