i just had the boise state coach reach out to me, and funny enough stumbled upon this video! what do you like about the school/workouts/location/education? im hoping to do an OV with them soon and just wanted to know your experiences. (i know this is a 3 year old video but id still love your take)
Boise is great. Boise State was a great experience. Coach Andy is great! I had my ups and downs but overall great program and was able to compete against the best and have access to the best training/recovery equipment.
I don't know why youtube recommended this video to me but I read the comments and I felt very identified, I will continue training to meet my goal one day
What distance Connor was throwing as a senior in high school to make it as a college javelin thrower? I just finished my Freshman season in high school and my best throw was 34.60 meters. I am trying to get an idea of what it takes to make it as a college javelin thrower. If you have any advice or if you could say what you were throwing in high school, I would apreciate the help.
Rogan, unfortunately I didn’t compete my senior year due to an elbow injury. Junior year I was throwing consistently above 50m and managed to throw 55.12m. I had a major jump from my freshman year to my sophomore year. I went from 35m to 49.99m. You’re doing great! Keep up the good work!!
Hey Rohan, I don’t know marks Connor will talk about or did talk about that, but I do know that just hard work and staying consistent is key. Keep yourself accountable and know the goal you have set in the end and attack each day to reach that goal! Keep it up!
Typically I throw twice a week from January until March, when the outdoor season begins. Once in season we may throw twice a week, but with reduced intensity
