This is so helpful. As a throws coach I am always looking to get my kids in school. Definitely gives me a better understanding

Your non-reverse throws at the end looked like you got a better pull on the disc, very nice.

Good info. My daughter is a high school Jr. and UVA is one of her top choices.

So I’m a Jr in high school. I just finished up my season and my personal best was a 116 and My best last year was a 70. I havent touched a weight during these last 2 years. If I started lifting and practicing throughout the off season what do you think the chances are that I could get up to maybe the 140s or 150s?

Tyler Dalfol I mean there’s one way to find out. Knowing nothing about your level of athleticism or height/weight I can tell you the only way to get there is actually working hard and that’s on you. But it’s possible

Pretty late to be replying by me, but one thing to consider is that 140's is a pretty solid number to compete at most D-III schools. My HS PR was something like 148' in. Disc and 47' in Shot and I did track D-III for 4 yrs and it was great. I made the state meet 3 yrs in college (NY), scored at conference a bunch and scored at ECACs Sr. year in shot. Got a school record in hammer... so don't feel like your throwing career is over if you can't get a scholarship. Just put in the work and the sport will give back what you put in.

In high school should we be worried about filling out the athlete questionnaires that College’s have or do we let the Colleges find us. I know for me I stress out whether or not a college will find me.

Cameron Cheney if you’re not one of the best in the country in highschool then you need to play the game a bit more. Reach out to more coaches and send them videos, in the description I have another scholarship video you can check. But start to reach out to schools you think you would do well at based on conference results

Isaac Ruddell look up conference results of schools and that’s where you need to be to get points if you want money from a program

What should I do, other then throw further, to simply walk on to a D1 college?

When you say conference meet does that mean all the east coast schools in a meet or all the west coast in a meet? And is this what I should be looking at www.tfrrs.org/results/62088

I mean the conference championships which are the ACC, SEC, PAC 12, BIG 10... etc.
