The Russian Maestro Igor Yakovlevich Krutoi was commissioned to compose an anthem for the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Olympics, Minsk, Belarus, late June 2019. Igor Yakovlevich wrote the music but in a way that would call for two performers, one for the low and the other for the high notes. He asked Dimash, which would you like to sing? Dimash looked at the note sheets replying, "I'd like to do both of them." The Italian lyrics are by the Russian poetess Lilia Vinogradova. The current video is not from the Misnk Olympic performance rather a later one. A rumour has it that there were Japanese organisers of the Tokyo Olympics present at the Minsk games, and that they are about to invite Dimash to perform at the opening of the Olympics 2020.
