Great video. Thanks for including the details about having the tap off totally dry and coated with a sealer. I’ve watched LOTS of videos (that’s how I’ve learned anything about leather work) and I think your the only one who’s mentioned it.

There is a lot of information out there to follow. You need to make sure those you follow know their stuff.

Very cool! I have those pattern packs but haven’t had a chance to do one yet. I did a tap off of a random flower I really liked just as a proof of concept and really was inspired to buy your packs to do more. Thank you so much!

I downloaded one of your free patterns on line to make a folder or tablet with a swivel knife design and I can't figure out how to put the pattern together. I'm sure it's yours because it's signed. It's a pattern with a front and back panel, two inside pockets. One pocket has a slit, the other is a corner type. It also has a pencil loop. I was looking for a build along tutorial for it.

Thanks ,Jim! So I could take an old belt that has a pattern I like and tap it onto a new belt, right!?

Yes. Once you have the basic outline of the design cut into another piece of leather, you are ready to tap it off as many times as needed. Give it a try with a flower you like and see how it works.

So if I want a mirror image tap off than I just use my tap off to make a tap off.

Yep, that is exactly what saddle makers have done for years with saddle parts. Things like fenders, jockeys, spur straps, and chap yokes have been done this way for ages.
