Not vaxxed, but on the topic of supplements -
I'm 53 and for the last four years I've experienced muscle pain in my legs when getting up after sitting down for a while. I started taking Magnesium a couple of months ago and now my muscles are fine. It took about three weeks before I noticed a difference and within 6-7 weeks I was completely fine. I think deficiencies are the root cause of many ailments in the western world, considering the nutrient depleted food we consume.
As always, thank you Dr Campbell.

    • @AndyJarman
      @AndyJarman ปีที่แล้ว +37

Yet a decade ago such deficiencies were not 'common knowledge'.
I stopped taking statins after suffering very scary convulsive spasms in my legs, started on magnesium supplements and drinking water compulsively.
This has managed the symptoms. Had a cardiac calcium scan - zero evidence of arterial blockage.

@@iamrocketray Thanks to your comment I just read a lot about NHS-System in the UK, and I‘m thankful not to be in this system. In Germany we get told that we have the best healthcare but for myself I have to pay all. That’s due to my private healthcare which I’m required to have since I have my small little business. So you have to pay insurance plus all additional costs if they’re under 2000€/month. One plus-point is that you always be favored but you have to pay more because docs often find things- like at the dentist you‘ll pay twice the price as the healthcare of an employee would pay.

@modernaspider3076 I think this is nonsense. I did not get the vaccine, for the simple reason that my concerns were never addressed -- nor could I find out whether what I had in March 2020 was indeed COVID, nor were any vaccines tested on a population that had been exposed to COVID or had recovered from COVID. Nor could I get the healthcare I needed during these three years.
SO, I'm unvaccinated. I nevertheless believe the vaccine was probably benign for most people who took it, and that most of those harmed by it can recover. The number of injured is still far too high, and the benefit (if any) is too limited. All these vaccines should be withdrawn.
I don't believe in scaring those who simply did what they were told was right. I think humans are resilient, and that most of them will be all right. They would probably have been better off had they never touched it, but that doesn't mean they can't recover now. It will take work.

I’m a retired pediatric surgical sub specialist in US. I’m not a cardiologist, however, I am worried that you have myocarditis and/or pericarditis. I don’t know the ins and outs of the NHS, but here are a few suggestions that I hope may help.
First, if you can, get copies of your EKGs done after the shots and any done in the year or so before the shots. Get the actual tracings, not the report. Also get echo reports, all labs, tests and MD visits in office and ER. Also, any of the above done in year prior to first shot to use as baseline.
Contact the cardiologist, whose name escapes me, who was pro shot until his dad had sudden cardiac death due to shot and now he is speaking out. He’s been on many podcasts and he said these things on BBC interview a few weeks ago. He may be able to either see you or direct you to a doctor who thinks for themselves.
Another option is to call or email Peter McCollough, MD , cardiologist in Dallas TX. I know he advises doctors all over world, and he may be able to direct you.
I would not exert yourself at all until you have some real answers. I hope this is helpful and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Off subject, but my sister went back to hospital this morning after having a biopsy on the inside of her cheek for results. I went that morning, full scan within the hour…gall stones, I saw a consultant within 30 minutes explaining the scan..had a key hole operation at 1pm, with one night in hospital along two beds for my wife and daughter along with 24 hour observation then 3 home visits to redress the wound. 32,000 baht, about £700 at the time……what’s going on

It's amazing that we think our countries in Britain are and have the best medical care. I'm still waiting for the proper result of a CT scan 3/4 months on. It must have been the successive governments that told us that we have this fantastic 'free' medical service, but, I quite frankly don't believe a word coming out of their mouths now. It certainly isn't and hasn't been free except for those coming into the UK. When we all worked, we paid a fair whack to have this wonderful NHS service. It certainly wasn't free!!!! And it's not so wonderful now, is it with that performance stated about this poor woman?

The west is fully corrupt now. But your wife could benefit from a little fasting, I'd do it just in case. Some of the many benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Blood pressure is quickly and dramatically lowered. Fribrosis/scarring is reversed over time and telomeres are lengthened, which also helps with lung fibrosis. Reflexes and short term memory are increased.
      Fasting increases nitric oxide.
Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system.
After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles large numbers of immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire immune system.
Vitamin D plasma levels are increased, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy!
Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release!
Weight loss from fasting only loses10% lean tissue and 90% fat compared to the typical 25% lean tissue and 75% fat lost when calorically restricting for long periods. The hunger hormone ghrelin lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting.
Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system.
When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state.
What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast, though if the amount is tiny you will go back into ketosis very quickly. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many medications are dangerous to take while fasting so you may have to talk to your dr. about discontinuing them during a fast.
Fasts of several days will not affect short term female fertility and may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS.
Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone and helps build muscle by increasing insulin sensitivity!
The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again!
Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, your body always runs mainly on fat except for brief periods of very intense exercise. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose.
Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses.
Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which also help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. Ketones also provide an additional energy source during infection, which is critical when trying to fight off a bug. In fact you can have as much as three times the total energy available in your blood when you are in deep ketosis, or even more.
It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention!
When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells. This kills these cells off completely. Senescent cells are responsible for the effects of aging and are the root cause of the development of cancer. If it were possible to destroy them all it would completely stop aging and cancer. That is not possible but fasting can help limit these effects by killing off many of the affected cells and limiting the future effects of aging.
Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth, helping a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers.
In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting.
Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level.
A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and under 18 g of carb.
Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia.
Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice.

I've had a few doctors misdiagnose me during military basic training. When their treatments didn't work, drill sargeants and fellow recruits started assuming my problems were psychological. When I finally got a proper x-ray, and the x-ray technician unofficially diagnosed the issue, I was finally able to know what my problem was, and address it accordingly. It was quite satisfying to say to my DS, "See? I TOLD YOU THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG." *_The doubt expressed by other people was the most aggravating part of the entire experience._* This process took an entire month, with 4 visits to doctors, a different doctor each time. Thank God for the x-ray tech confiding in me, "I can't diagnose you, but make sure he sees THIS," as she pointed to the pelvic stress fracture on the x-ray.

I’m very impressed with this doctor’s approach to treatment. In
many ways he’s less concerned with cause, especially when it isn’t obvious, as he is about assessing possible contributory deficiencies. I also liked that he explored nutritional deficiencies, something I believe should be standard practice.
I went through some odd health issues last year and my gp was at a loss how to assess me. He literally said he didn’t know how to help me (after doing basic testing). I could see he was troubled by his inability to help me but it was alarming to be told that and have nowhere else to turn. At one point he asked me if I was an anxious person. It seemed to be his last resort. I admitted I was anxious at that time due to the strange symptoms but he could check my records to see that over 40 years as his patient I wasn’t particularly prone to over anxiety. So I found this discussion very interesting and nice to get away from covid/vaccine single focus.

I know how that sounds but the reality is that we in the world are JUST NOW STARTING to come out of this madness of the last three years where the vast majority of medical personnel only cared about one thing to the detriment of everything else. FACT!
Now, there WERE (and still are) many of your confrears who VERY COURAGEOUSLY tried to treat patients during the madness and were canceled and prevented from practicing medicine for the good of their patients. This is a fact as well that never, EVER should have been! NEVER!!!
However, what do we do now, going forward?

Treat patients to actually TRY to make them better! Do NOT treat them to satisfy some government or corporate edict!
    HEAL THEM!
AT LEAST TRY, FOR GOODNESS SAKE!
AND if you DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR PATIENTS, ADMIT IT and do the best you can to refer them to someone else who MIGHT be able to help them!

I knew a woman who complained of pain in her forehead after a car accident. The doctor asked her if she was pregnant as that might make her psycho somatic symptoms worse.
She changed doctors and the new one diagnosed broken glass embedded in the bone of her forehead. Therapy involved removal of the broken glass under local anesthesia. Her symptoms resolved. She was not pregnant. Medical school does not always help judgment or prejudice.

This process basically took years of work on my part and was frustrating and depressing.

Thank you for this, Dr. John, and to Dr. Michael Cohen. Our Dad was Old-School, and deeply averse to the “Problem-Oriented” approach taking hold in the US towards the end of his medical career, basically BECAUSE it tended towards cut-and-dried nearsightedness in diagnosis and therapy, neglecting individual differences between patients. Another aspect: our family’s background is Baltic. That has dietary consequences: we often enjoy various fish and other seafoods, and our ~weekly potatoes with cottage cheese are served with flax oil. Also, once again (Dad was in Immunology): immune / autoimmune derailments can present with a wide variety of symptoms and chronologies! After viewing many of your interviews, I determined I was suffering from POTS after my 2nd Pfizer shot. The doctors laughed at me and asked if I would like to be referred to a psychiatrist for anxiety. About 4 times while lying on the couch on my left side, there was a crushing sensation and I had to sit up abruptly, certain I was going to die. Other times, all I did was turn over in bed and my heart rate skyrocketed. I had been sleeping, so I don't think anxiety was a factor. I simply turned over in bed and it somehow triggered a prolonged episode of super high blood pressure and heart rate. It's terrifying, as you sit up, wonder if you should try to stand up, wonder if you will live long enough to get to the hospital.

Only the immune system itself can clear it out, and the best way to help it do that is to do some extended fasting.
Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus.
Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system.

On the subject of individualised care. I gave been privileged enough to have been married to a Japanese lady for 20 years and spent a lot of time in Japan. I have also spent a lot of time in UK hospitals, both post surgery and also as a cleaner within NHS. What struck me whilst in Japan was first and foremost the GP system in Japan worked in the following way. Everyone went for a 6 monthly check up and the GP let each member of the community know how to stay healthy. This is completely opposite as to how it operates in the UK, and a far wiser way of doing things in my opinion. If you had to go to hospital, everyone had a personalised diet specifically related to their condition. Here in the UK it was pretty much like school dinners and then decended into the sandwich trolley which does show a complete and utter dependency on drug based cures...absolutely astounding lack of awareness as far as where we are at here in the west, maybe it has improved over the years but in the East it has been done this way for millennia.
In the East there is also the awareness of Ki/ Chi which here in the west is sadly lacking. Ki/chi is linked to consciousness and yet here all new medications must as double blind placebo tests...also dependant upon awareness of the recipients. We therefore find ourselves in quite a quandry...how can we trust the medicines, based on big pharma, and driven by all the monetary considerations and conflicts of interest inherent in such a system.....I do wish, I really do wish, that the doctor patient relationship as well as the patients own choices can somehow leap up to a level where we all are educated to understand how the miraculous nature of being alive filters into how we approach medicine in the years going forward. To be, hmmmmm, held hostage to medicine, science tific method etc, so interrelated to making money is really a sad state of affairs. Such things are entangled. I would like to ask Dr John to do a talk on the nature of Placebo testing, how it came to be important and to have a chat with a recognised Dr from the Eastern persuasion to highlight the different perspectives involved in how to keep healthy and the GP system within a community, I think this would be a great subject to help broaden the scope of your channel as we move forward into the next round of what is to come,, give that 100 million doses of bivalent booster jabs have been bought...we need the Eastern perspective here to educate us. Xx

I already take Omega3 & magnesium & turmeric, but as allergic to many things, I've recently found Antihistamines greatly help. Unfortunately they make me very drowsy, but stop the pain. Apparently this is because they prevent the immune response & therefore stop the inflammation. Would be interested to hear views on this.

Thank you for this. The symptoms described sound exactly like my experience after the second covid vaccination (obviously I never had another). I am also in my 40s, and was very active and healthy...running, going to the gym, doing yoga and CrossFit.
After my two vaccinations I felt like I was 80 years old. From doing CrossFit, to having aches and pains and muscle cramps and constant fatigue. Over a year on, and I am recovering but I am a shadow of who I was before.

@@manJ67 nothing specific, it seems to be healing slowly on its own but I am and was always quite healthy. I try to sleep well for at least 8 hours per night and I keep an eye on sleep quality using an Oura ring. And I avoid processed oils in food, I find things like rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, etc make me feel worse. I've been exercising much less too, just one yoga class and one or two strength sessions per week. No CrossFit!

I need a Dr like this. My legs and feet ache all the time so much that I can’t sleep. Been told it’s old age. 🙄 Tests done. Nothing found. My daughter say’s neuropathy. I have head pressure at times. Lots of inflammation. Had all this before I got covid and still have it. Haven’t had any vaccines. This dr got to the bottom of it which seems to me most don’t. Just prescribe and prescribe more. 😞

Amen and thank you for making the statement that more Docs need to look at nutrients, vitamins and minerals and implement low cost supplements to try to correct imbalances! Our systems do not do enough of this, the protocols focus more on a fast diagnosis and then a prescription... It's a failed approach that needs correction.

I was on a ventilator for 30 days, but because I was overweight I did not require a feeding tube. The DR explained to my mum that they could give me the other nutrients and whatever through an IV until I was closer to my recommended weight. I went from 250 lbs to 200, am female 5 foot 7 inches tall. When I woke up I had 11 IV tubes hanging from 3 towers all going into a central line. When I was discharged, I was low mostly in minerals but also other things we get from food. I went in 2x per week for blood work while taking about ten supplements a day gradually I improved and went in 1x per week and about every 2 weeks I discontinued another pill. It took about 4 months for all my blood work to return to normal ranges. It has been over 25 yrs and have kept the weight off and lost more with no return of original problem. I am alive today because my primary care Dr believed me when I said there is something seriously wrong with me and had me admitted to hospital for observation over the objections of the ER Dr, 12 hours later I stopped breathing, then my heart stopped, Had they sent me home where I live alone I would not be able to enjoy Dr John and his wonderful wit and non verbal bypass of the censors.

I wish we had a doctor here like your guest. My quality of life stopped 1.5 years ago. My body stopped sweating and my skin all over was burning hot and still is to this day. My body temperature was actually low at times 95.4F but not a fever. About 6 months or so ago I started getting the chills but my body still burning. I've been to a few specialtists but no answers. Since I'm not a cookbook case everyone gives up. While I suffer. I can't do what I use to. I could run circles around everyone. Now just walking from one room to the next makes me short of breath,, palparations and feeling faint. I can't grocery shop. I can't even bring our forbade to the road.. so my life is passing me by. There are more tests they could run but my insurance won't pay for it. I have to take care of my disabled son which is very difficult now. I can't believe in this day and age that no one can help me. More so because my son needs me. I feel scared and disappointed. As one doctor told me, "There is no doctor that would take the time to figure it out except a researcher and I'm not important enough for the to take the time for me"
