Strictly for steam nerds I'm afraid. Played it for a whole minute and all I could see was steam coming from the engine of the train - why not trim the start so that the viewer can enjoy looking at the passing train about a minute earlier?
@@steamfreak That is of course true enough, but that's a bit like adding salt and pepper to your meal before tasting it first, and it could be seen as being a bit insulting to the chef... Why not make the video as perfect as you can so that it would appeal to both nerds and those who take a passing interest in trains, especially Rovos trains.
Josh all the locos in this video are coal burners. In the other videos you'll see 25NC 3484 (a big 4-8-4) that was modified to burn diesel via a blower fan contraption which was never successful.
I love seeing the Class 6, a good and quite British-looking design, with a lifespan of over 70 years, in steam! This is a treat!
Classic little locos. 439 is still running today
Do you have videos of Rovos Rail's 19D 2701 and 2702 in July 1998?

@@CamcorderSteve true enough! Though I enjoy the sound of the approaching train as well, as do many others. Cheers!
