Hi there, very informative video. How many times in a year can you harvest honey?

The season in the UK starts from April/May when flowers blossom and have nector in then and the nector flow stops by mid-August so we only do one harvest

In my part of the world u could harvest 3/4 times in a season ,last year I harvested twice that was my first year bee keeping.

How long do queens live?

Queens usually live for around 2-3 years

There is always one Queen per Hive.

I hope you didn't get stung by the bees. They look very angry when you were removing the beeswax.

They weren't happy because they know there is no more nector in the flowers and at that time. So I wore my thick gloves to avoid any stings. If you see my videos earlier in the season you will notice I wore thinner gloves because they are not aggressive during the season when there is nector in the flowers

@ yes this time I did pay attention lol. At the beginning of the season you just wore latex gloves.

There is a lot in the hives but I never extract it for myself. I leave it for the bees as they use it to seal off any gaps or cracks to weather proof the hives
