Yeah, they're the best arms in the game tbh. 160 firearms spec is nuts, and you're not even limited to super light weapons while using them. No reason to use anything else.
@@oLevLovesLove did you not read my comment? They are meant for close range weapons and melee heavy builds. The melee spec on them is 35 more than the second best and they are the lightest arms. The melee spec directly increases the damage your melee weapons do. I can do deal about half or more of an ACs AP in one combo with the pulse blade or nearly one shot with the laser blade with them. And the Duckett handguns hit just fine at close range with the highest close range FCS. Even better is the charged laser Lance to close distance and stagger followed up with a pulse blade or laser blade combo to finish them off. Apply assault armor as necessary for survivors.

This build reminds me so much of the sling shot builds from ACFA with the big nukes, only difference: the missiles this time are slowly homing in, you see your death approaching slower :D
I run Nuke and the 32 Relation missile salvo. The nuke flies slowly, while the missiles screen it from machineguns. Honestly my only issue is that it should let you lock onto missiles and shoot them down.
No the coral missiles hit 1st. He Staggered. After that he just died with whatever. The real OP shit is the Coral missiles. Its the Starter and FInisher at the same time.

I made capital ship build, using the floating tank treeds and coral shoulder bombs, with red shift plasma rifle and the coral sword. I float around the top of the map launching nukes and plasma shots. Then if they get close I fire the charged coral sword as a death star like death beam. It's so much fun
Balance patch changes are going to be fun to look at, but also sad to look at. I have to wonder if they're going to do a split between pvp and pve balance. If not HAL 826 will be even easier.

You have to try the double coral melee combo. Either a forward vertical slash or a charged beam that sweeps the entire area, nearly staggering everyone. Use the coral blade for a follow-up. Some missiles and a right hand weapon, you got yourself a duelist and a 3v3 menace.
@@casual2694 going “down” isn’t the easiest in this game lol. But yeah I mean when you see them releasing assault boosting at them might be your best bet. They are stuck in a long animation if you can read it
you can safely and consistently dodge the Wide Coral Sweep by circling to the left as the sweep always starts from your right if your facing the opponent. The same circling movement also works on lances too as the hit box is least likely to connect on there opposite hand of the lance. you don't need to be a fast light weight to make them miss either moving like this.
I still can’t get over that these missile launchers at 0:03 are called “soup”, I imagine in-lore the engineers designed so many armaments for warfare that they ran outta names and had to resort to food categories.
The other RAD mech parts are called stuff like Desert (for the head) , main course (for the main body) and i forgot what the legs and arms were called but also related to eating :)

I propose updating the game so self-harm is added such that you do 30%, up to 100% for say coral weapons, of whatever damage you put out, with similar stagger. That way, it discourages people from point-blank songbird spamming and allows the tactics of close-range kiting the missiles back at your opponent to at least do some damage to them. That way, the coral missiles become a double-edged sword if maneuvered into the opponent who launched them

Yes it is broken as fk and yes i am using them in PvP just to prove my point it is broken. Dual Siege Missiles on both hands. Dual Coral Missiles on the back. The moment i lock and fire, if its a light weight AC, they die immediately. I swear these fkers saying u need skill to dodge is just bullshitting you. The advantage Coral missiles have is extremely unfair, i even feel bad for using them lol.

Am i using the missiles wrong? Whenever I use them they don't track even after charging them and locking onto a target properly. I'm fairly new to the Armoured Core title, but decent at this one. Am I missing a generator or a combat chip or something?
@@renegadeofphate High Missile track FCS usually does the job perfeclty, those things become augurs of death as they track you so well as they move so slow it's nigh-impossible to dodge without putting your attention away from the opponent.
Coral missile is definitely in for a nerf next patch. Ther are way too many things you can combo it with that they HAVE to dodge for them to have enough energy left to escape it, long as you apply pressure
Terminal Armor is just false hope incarnate. Unless you play perfect, it's next to useless... And perfect play would also mean you wouldn't need to use it in the first place.

Fcs aside i think the trick is to fire them with some range since they turn slowly and if they lose tracking at some point its over.
You need to let them lock on fully. It takes a few seconds, the yellow bars in your targeting reticle indicate missile lock.
