Good golly miss molly!!!! You are real exceptional at this painting thing. The braids wow but the whole painting gave me the girl with the pearl earring vibe. Its different as night and day but looking at both makes my day.
Hi Laura,I just stumbled across your channel whilst looking for oil pastel tutorials, that's a beautiful portrait, may I ask what paper your using and GSM also what oil pastels. I've started using this medium and just getting use to the different types of pastels, I'm using pentel for the first layers of my drawings and mungyo soft oils pastels over the top for layering. I would love to see more of your tutorials and a few with parts of your videos in real time if that would be possible 😁 kind Regards from the UK 🇬🇧😁
Hi Amanda, Thank you! I used my daughters Pentel pastels for this portrait, and for the fisherman portrait video. Both portrait were done on Strathmore Toned Tan sketch paper. I have fallen in love with oil pastels since trying them out on this video. I bought myself a larger set of Pentel (since they were the only ones I have used) and also a large set of Mungyo Artist soft oil pastels (72 pack because I wanted the flesh tones). I can definitely do some real time parts in the next video. Thanks for the input!
Holy crap that's amazing!
I really enjoyed it. A memorable portrait of Amanda Gorman to be treasured by everyone.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. She is an inspirational poet and I'm happy that the portrait, in an unfamiliar medium, turned out.
Beautiful portrait befitting the beautiful subject.

Thank you!
I appreciate her inner beauty, her brillant spirit.
Della Reese's song "Touched by an angle" would fit perfect here.
Well now I 'll have to look up that song and give it a listen.
