@@SophiaSmurr I've been thinking about it. I got bored before that relationship started and decided to watch Part 1 and 2 in English dub and... uh.... Part 1 Dio just hits different. In a good way. Couldn't watch it in English once Part 3 started. Really wish they kept Old Man Joseph's accent cause it's almost like they stopped caring about accents, like Polnareff being French and he didn't even sound French. But VON STROHEIM WAS PERFECT!

Honestly I love how Josuke’s first response to hearing he’s Joseph’s bastard is that he apologizes for causing trouble. He’s not at all mad his father abandoned him. Because of how important his relationship with his mother and grandfather his he hates the idea that he could be the source of conflict in a family. Such a subtle thing that shows how compassionate he is.
I should mention that in Japan, being a bastard child goes on their birth certificate, and is considered problematic in general if they aren't adopted into the "family". Other things vary too; so being a single parent and having children in affairs is heavily discouraged, but not completely unheard of. The ones conceived in affairs are expected to be respectful of the "real" family regardless if they were "adopted" (accepted), and often treated less than a pet likewise.
If your wondering why I mentioned this, its because everyone said Josuke is super- apologetic for possibly causing discord in his father's marriage, just by existing.

Koichi is such a good dude that he inspires this kind of confidence in people. The Jojo's don't mind him being there for this conversation coz even though they've each just met him, they can tell he's a solid dude and a good friend to have around. Truly a reliable guy!
It's both weird and heartwarming to see how Koichi tags along and listens in on the dirty family business and how both the JoJos allow him 😂😌.
