    I still have my Delica Two(2) and use it for personal protection, it has never been used but I carry it every day everywhere, I believe I bought it in 2007. Still razor-sharp.

    I have all the seki city models in k390…I think the reason that the delica has become such a legend is because of its sheer practicality. I prefer the stretch, endura, endela and even the police 4 over the delica (just because of my personal tastes) but it’s still tough to argue with. It disappears in your pocket but when you need it, it’s incredibly capable…especially with a steel like k390. The other thing that makes the endela or delica really nice is that you can actually use the pivot/ricasso/plunge grind area as a pseudo-choil if you wanna choke up. It’s not quite as comfortable as an actual choil but it’s not as far off as you’d think…

    I just got my first Spyderco last week, a Delica 4 FRN VG10. I was ready for a "nice" knife, something under 100 bucks. It took a long time before I could admire the looks of a Spyderco, but after hearing SO much about the blade and ergo, I wanted to try it.

    Great collection, love my Delica 4 in safety orange. Only mod I’m doing so far is rubbing the black paint off the pocket clip. Even from new it looked out of place and as it got scratched over the years it looks worse. Can’t wait to see it in polished metal.

    The delica 4 is a knife i had no interest in. I hate back locks, but i was at the boot store and ended up buying one spur of moment. I literally sat in the parking lot for like 10 minutes debating on taking it back in. But i didn't, and as soon as i got home and started using it, even though i hate back locks, the delica 4 has become one of my favorite knives. I carry it all the time now. It's such a great cutter.

    I like the delica but they need to get rid of that back lock and use compression.

    Avoid spider co knives with VG10 steel ... I wish someone would have told me before I bought one ( VG10 is awful ) It sounds fancy but it reminds me of the cheap steel they put on $3 Walmart kitchen knives

    • @AverageBros
      @AverageBros  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Actually, kitchen knives made out of VG10 are pretty expensive 😆

    • @AlMullard
      @AlMullard ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh , ok ... thanks I don't know too much about knife steel but was thinking" this sure looks low budg steel" for $75 knife (dulls easy )

    • @AverageBros
      @AverageBros  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AlMullard VG10 doesn't have as good edge retention as more modern super steels but it does take an amazing edge pretty easily when resharpening, which is typically the trade off, harder to dull, harder to sharpen too.

      @AlMullard ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alright I guess it's not that bad.. Thanks for the info , I feel a little better about the knife ( love the spider co products without a doubt )

    Nice vid just for future reference pls use “steel” not metal when referring to blades. Not correct terminology. Not trying to be that guy. But I’m that guy
