- It's definitely a tough one, but not as tough as Generator Room. The platinum time isn't too strict, and once you get past the walking turtles, the rest of the level isn't that hard. As for the turtles, "dude just walk on the ropes lmao". Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it's just not that easy, as I find myself falling off half the time even when I just do a quick jump up. It's definitely better for a time trial, but for regular runs, I'll stick to the regular way.
I first got the platinum here after like ten minutes, and it was the first time I ran through the second half of the level, but I missed a two second box and decided I had to get under a minute. That took me another half hour or so. I have saved all the attempts and there will be a blooper video with all the deaths. Probably after I finish the game.

I feel the same way about the ropes, I jump on it dead center and Crash just slips off it. Stuck with the traditional platforming and got the platinum relic, had to look up which turtles to spin away and which ones to jump on.
I think they changed it so that walking on the rope makes Crash/Coco slip off very slowly so that the strat isn't abused.
Not exactly, you need to now hit the dead center of the rope or you slip and fall like a rock
I beat those levels only walking at the rope.
@@maverickdarkrath4780 I mean thats what he said. They changed Crash's hitbox to a pill shape rather than a box. Thats why he slips off now.

At this point, Castle Machinery and The Lab are the only hard ones remaining imo, but hey, this is Garland who I'm talking to, keep it up with those plat relics!

Wow, seeing you completing it this easy hurts my soul, cause it took me 5 days to even get the gold relic on this one. I also almost broke my controller because of this level, uncluding Stormy Ascent, but it still works, which is really suprising!!! Thanks for this one bud 😄

You are absolutely right Garland. It isn't that easy and it is probably due to the "pill shape" of Crash and Coco, causing them to slip off the rope really easily. Hopping and then hopping off is a lot more effective.
My god this was the most frustrating time trail I had to complete in this game as I had to start the trail over so many times that I lost count, I only did it just to get the trophy achievement. Glad I won't do this ever again as I nearly lost my sanity just trying to get the gold relic, not going crazy for the platinum one.

To be honest, I was more pissed at Road To Nowhere, as I found it more annoying to speedrun. Mostly because the harder parts are in the second half, contrary to this.
Oh...my...god. That looks wicked tough getting through that, especially trying to jump on the rope, geez. I would be really nervous trying to get a platinum relic for this level.
After 3 hours and about 1,000 attempts, I got 1:02:55!

developers aren't always pro gamers. Developing a game doesn't guarantee you're super skilled at it. Often the truest hardcore fans are better players. Almost always. In fact the developers probably invited pro gamers to set the time trial thresholds.

I've gotten relatively okay at using the ropes--I jump on and off of them like you do here, except I do it more often because I suck at making the really long leaps between the planks.
However the ropes seem to be extra hard to land on where they raise slightly towards the end of a section, such as at 0:23 which is where I keep dying...
Fuck me I just got 1:02:56. Nearly screwed up close to the end but can't remember how... it's all just a blur right now lol.
I screwed up previously by forgetting to jump up the frozen platform right at the end. Instead I ran up it which slowed me right down but I was only about half a second off so that was rather annoying.
I'm calling the police.
I spent 5 hours of my life on this shit. But now i have platinum in this game
I definitely did better once I stopped trying to run on the ropes and just did little hops off of them to clear the big gaps like you did. I can't count the number of times I didn't even make it past the first bridge, even after had been practicing the level a while.
Probably the 3rd hardest Platinum relic, the first half is hard af, mainly because of the inconsistency of the ropes
I managed to get the Platinum Relic for this level today by persistently jumping on the fence rope. Though it wasn't easy. Even though I found jumping on the rope easier to maintain my balance than running on it, I still fell off the rope if I didn't land close enough to the centre of the rope. I probably could have gotten a better time than 1:01:33, had I not fallen near the end of the level during one of my failed attempts to get the Platinum Relic. I probably could have gotten below 1:01:00 or even 1:00:00. Oh well. At least I got the relic, I suppose.

So basically never let go of the forward button and thus never stop, and use the aid of the rope. Very difficult. I'm okay with golden

Surely it could have been faster in certain parts (by walking in the ropes) but I think the ropes are quite slippery in this version. Still not a bad time at all! Talking about slippery things, next one is Slippery Climb but I bet it has a lenient time as Sunset Vista xD
Walking along a single rope isn't too hard but as soon as you get to the end of a section and have to jump over a post/pillar, you almost always slip off of the rope at the other side.

had to use keyboard when doing the ropes. the controller pulls to either left or right, while pressing W gets a straight line.
okay, this stage is bullshit, I'm not doing this anymore. Even stormy ascent relic was easier than this. The ropes feel so dicey and I can't get the jumps right. 13/26 relics, but I quit. I can't do this shit anymore
I know right, even landing dead center on them ropes still might make you slip and fall, so frustrating.

The turtles should send you that high up from the get go instead of having to hold the X button down. Can’t tell you how many times that’s f***ed me over with timing and made me lose my shit. This level could’ve done without the boars. The platforms too far spread out, Crash falling so easily off and between them and the irritation of getting the title jump right is hard as hell enough.

Would be even faster if you didn't waste time in jumping on turtles. Running on the rope would be faster in that part.
I somehow feel like saying "kiss my ass" because of this video. Seriously, it's hard enough to complete the level in general, but to see an "expert" get platinum is almost infuriating.
