- In this video i show how i converted the dual 390 brushed motor XLH 9125 to brushless for my brother to have as a fun Off road bash RC to mess around with. Next video will be the first drive test after the build so stay tuned!

I love my 9125, mine is still stock but it’s absolutely the most reliable, and most fun truck we own
Steel knuckles would be a good upgrade if any company makes them. Went to a dual brushless setup on 3s and I've snapped 3 already.
Looking at these types of RC videos and working on my own is down right therapeutic to me.

Sweet Re Build Dave. This is the Rig that got me to your channel. I loved your First Videos of the unboxing and then all the mod's that did to it. So i got one for my Wife and did the same mod's. and she come's with us when we go Bashing..lol...Its a good strong little Rig. It can take my Wife's Bashing...Lol.. Interested to see the drive test as did a similar conversion, but I installed the 60A version of that ESC and the 3100kv version of that motor (wanted to try run on 3s because 🤷♂️ why not).
First launch heard the gears slip a notch or two, second launch gears were slipping really bad.
Pulled it apart again and the rear drive shaft gear and rear diff ring gear were worn down really bad! Clearly way too much torque for this car! Had a spare of each so changed them out, put some lighter non-stock tyres on (figured the heavier tyres would be a factor).
Ran it around on 2S instead, still pretty quick and pulls wheelies on a dime but after about 5 minutes of running had the same issue.
Tried to look at shimming the gears somehow but the gear seems glued onto the driveshaft.
Wondering if the 4370kv on would have been a better choice, from what I understand that would be less on launch so might save the gears. The metal gears seems really weak in this car :(
How do the cart's stock electronics perform? I mean the durability of the stock esc? Can your differentials and spur gear withstand about +20 gaming sessions without breaking any gear teeth with the stock electronics? will the cart resist about 23 mph without breaking any gears or damaging any steering arms?

You spent more on parts than it would cost to just buy a new one. 👏
Not really, a new one cost over $120 new these days online and in spent way less than that for the spare parts needed as well as the brushless conversion. My brother is really happy with this trucks performance , its very quick on 2s and 3s lipo. Thanks for watching

It looks like a 14T pinion. Where did you get it from? I can’t find any 14T pinion gears for a 2.3mm shaft.
Bought it from Ebay, its compataible with the q901 xinlehong
I have a litehawk overdrive same truck as the 9125 just different company name it also has metal diffs dog bones and Center drive shaft
Yeah Hosim and gptoys have rebranded this Xinlehong 9125 truck also
I tried pairing the 9125 1:10 scale 4X4 monster truck I tried pairing them together now the red indicator light is flashing on the truck and no lights on transmitter batteries are good would you know how to pair them together any help would be appreciated thanks
I never had that issue but if the esc red led is flashing that means it's looking to pair with your transmitter, but as you said if the transmitter has no lights but you have good AA batteries in it i think maybe one of the battery tray wires inside the TX is possibly snapped from the soldering, and not putting any power through, best open up the TX and have a look to fix it.
Jarrod if you open it up and the wires are connected for the battery tray inside and that doesn't work maybe its just a faulty TX board. Do you by chance have any HBX (Haiboxing) RC trucks? if so you can use the HBX transmitter remotes with the Xinlehong, Hosim or GPtoys trucks because both brands use the same protocol frequency, just a heads up if you didn't know that mate. whats the top speeds on 2s/3s batteries with this new brushless motor.. i tried looking through your videos, i can't seem to find any.
I never speed tested it as I have it to my brother, it’s pretty quick though, I’d say it goes around 70kph on 3S on a sports field
What's the pitch and teeth on the pinion?

Not gonna happen, you can't mix brushed and brushless electronics, and ffs stop using Caps, no need to SHOUT mate

Where do you connect the steering wire?
Connect it to the receiver
But from my steering servo it comes out five wires and my new receiver. I could only plug-in three wise

Yep stock pinion and 2845 4370kv motor

No I reused the pinion from the factory brushed motor, you need to use heat to get it off, I didn’t drill anything
