If you notice, Mar Mari does not cross the line into being against Israel necessarily. He's more just on the side of peace, as is fitting for followers of Christ. How come he isn't quoting from the Bible? The Bible says in the old testament that God gave that land to his people. It was called the promise land for a reason.
