I'm shocked at how few Dr. J game footage clips are on TH-cam. You can find highlight packages but not many clips of just him scoring during games like you can the Iceman or Magic or Bird.
My first professional in person game February 1973 Virginia Squires versus New York Nets Doc scored 58 points but Ice at 19 years old stole the show I followed Ice his whole career all the way to the Hall of Fame 1996
@@kayafener9013 Heyy I'm 63 years old and I met Ice during his career and when he was an assistant coach I've never seen any other player with an arsenal of shots like Ice and Ice treated me like his little brother I grew up in the hood and Ice saved my life
@@jeffboyce2426 you are very luck to meet him and ve a friend of him. If I come to live to Usa someday, I will try to reach Iceman, Erving and David Thompson. By the way I am a former ametaeur badketballer snd now I am 39.

Ice was my all time favorite!! I actually went to 6ers/Spurs game in Philly at the spectrum. We went early and Ice was out shooting by himself with his black "ICE"warmup on just shooting. He came over and signed a George Gervin card I had along with like 10 other people,I was mezmorized standing next to my hero-lol.I also got a t-shirt that said "Iceman" and it also had the nike swoosh sign on it.76ers won the game, but Ice had 34 and an awesome break away cup dunk,i'll never forget that night.Watching him play was beyond cool,he was an unstopable scoring machinelike no other! I always laugh at an interview I heard Ice do when they asked him about his defense,he said " I always scored more then the guy I was guarding, that was my defense"LMAO,love the Iceman forever!
Was more physical but yea there’s plenty of players thru all the eras that could play in all the eras 💯if luka dirk Nash and jokic could dominate the “bigger stronger faster” “evolved” era than I’m sure plenty legends can too

Agreed! This is a great video.
I remember this vividly...I just turned 8, and I was excited to see these two legends!

Classic! Two of my favorite all time NBA players going back and forth exchanging baskets.

That finger roll over Dawkins @1:47 tho.
what physicality!!! the first foul was so hard it knocks Dr. J!!! No one could play in this ERA especially in the 90's LOL!!!
Yeah the NBA of today is soft.

A Wily Peck sighting! One of the worst draft picks in Spurs history

It should be, KD look like the Iceman 😎
Gold chains, cigarettes, and booze.
The occasional box popping up on the lower left is distracting and unnecessary. Who cares about free throws?? Otherwise I love the content.
