    I've always wanted to be a Firefighter, and I'm looking to get EMT certified in order to put my skills to the test with the fire service. You guys are a HUGE inspiration for me (Instructors and Recruits alike). Thank you for all you do and inspiring other generations to keep up the heroic legacy

      It's a hell of a lot of fun and very rewarding. I'm currently a Probationary Firefighter with a paid-on-call volunteer fire department in northern Vermont. I'm just a couple weeks away from finishing my Hazmat Ops class, so all I'll have left is First Aid/CPR certification, and a 9 hour Wildland Fire Control course before I can challenge the exam for my Firefighter 1 certification.
      I make the 5th generation of my family to become a volunteer firefighter, and am going to pursue EMT after Fire 1. My goal is to be the first in my family to become a career firefighter.

    As a truck driver we have to carry that EGR book in are truck. It helped me during fire fighter 1 having some knowledge of the book

      Jeff, the ERG is a great resource for initial response to hazmat situations. We’re lucky enough to have multiple hazmat units in our department so first arriving units keep everyone at a safe distance using the ERG and then arriving hazmat units handle or mitigate the hazard. Thanks for watching! Be safe!

    This would be really cool. I love Chemistry in general. Physical (Favorite)/Organic/Inorganic/Analytical/Nuclear-I love it all. Gets to the heart of things. That Hazmat Rig departments have out there looks like real fun and you all are lucky if you make Specialist and can work on it ❤ Have fun all!! 😊

    Sou Brasileiro. Como posso ser bombeiro em Utah no EUA?

    • @chadpate31
      @chadpate31 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Elton, voce mora em utah? You have to live in Utah first and be a citizen and then pass all the entry exams. Being a firefighter in Utah specifically Salt Lake County has a lot of perks, anything from inner city areas to ski resorts to urban interface and everything in between. I’m sure being a firefighter in Brazil has its perks as well! Thanks for watching Elton!
