That paint is actually in great condition. A little DA polisher and light polishing compound and it would look awesome.

From what I’ve read it’s days to weeks to dry, depending on definition of “dry” and variables like thickness of coat and whether it was thinned with mineral spirits. Cool car btw

I quickly found out that its not as cut and dry as I was thinking.

@@cruisingwithcory440 I just did my old faded paint and laid it on super thick
It’s been half a week or so and still has a slight “not cured” ness to it, not quite tacky but also not fully cured. I’m ok with it. Looks a thousand times better and for 1/4 of a $10 can. 👍

Dude you don't have to let it dry for days u need a buffer and to mix wd-40 and another compound and the shine will last 3-6 months
Vice Grip Garage you tube page the man does that to all his cars look his page up

Your paint is too nice for the old oil trick.

  • @71sixpak

This whole Linseed oil on a car is the stupidest thing in the world. If you ever need to get anything paint, the Linseed oil soaked into things will cause a nightmare. Just use carnuba wax, it'll give you the shine and protection you want without the fear of your rags catching fire.
