I HAVE to get the Shuttle!!! No. Wait. I MUST have the Saturn V!!! OK. Who am I kidding. I already got both😄 Now of Lego would just make the Mercury, Gemini, Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy and Starship, in the same scale as the Saturn V, our space history would be complete.

The Saturn V is more iconic to the rest of the world since it put the first man on the Moon. But I'm personally more of a Deep-sky fan, so to me Hubble is just very important as a science based object. Also as a lego set it seems to be more appealing and more pleasing to the eye
I don't think that the rocket Saturn V itself is more popular than the shuttle, literally every boy/man i know owns/has owned at least one toy space shuttle, yes, the lunar landing is more popular, but not the rocket itself, which is quite sad that id doesn't get the recognition it deserves
I have the Saturn V, the shuttle, and the ISS all up on a book shelf together 😁

@@sergeantdaniel0442 I got the Saturn V and Lunar lander on two separate occasions over the past two years and today the ISS and space shuttle are coming in the mail! I'm so excited to have them all on display together 😄

@@___15 eh, the end design is pretty clear at this point, we’re their the cgi get stuff worked out faze, The only things that are up in the air that are visual are, windows and landing legs
I relly one lego starship
Discovery was my first Lego model. Took me 15 hours to assemble!
TOOK me 2 weeks
because 2 days building it 3 days cheching for mistakes and the last day finding a spot for it
We can, at first, regret that the 2 sets are not on the same scale. But when you think about it, they are each at an appropriate scale: if the rocket had been at the same scale as the shuttle, it would have been much too big and a shuttle at the scale of Saturn V would have lost a lot of details.
To realize the size, the nanofigures are perfect for the rocket.For the shuttle, the closest would be 1/72 Airfix style figures.

That happens when you don't press the bricks together properly.
The LES separates once the Apollo is ins space. The correct display for the Apollo spacecraft would be the command module (also displayed in the ocean) and the SM connected together without the LES.
Yeah the LES separates a bit after the first stage falls away.
Also at the end of the ocket is a rescue rocket which gets separated about 60 seconds after take-off.
@@niklashocker2044 Rescue rocket = LES (Launch Escape System)
You can remove the "white" command module with LES and put there the "grey" command module from splash down scene. That way you can actually connect command module to lunar module as they were on way to the moon :)
The Discovery's rudder also works and if you remove the solar panels and replace them with the "rolled up" panels, the Hubble will fit inside the cargo bay with the doors closed.
Fun fact is that the nanofigs from the Saturn V set fit comfortably inside the orbiter. My Saturn V set came with 4 in total. I put 2 on the moon surface and 2 inside the orbiter.

I find it weird that the Saturn V rocket lego model has the same piece count of when the moon landing was launched
They did it intentionally, its written somewhere either in the instructions or an official video
As somebody who owns both, I do think that the Shuttle is a better display piece and was more fun to build. But the Saturn V is also a great set nut felt more repetitive during the building phase. If you can only buy one, I recommend the Shuttle
You know, I had just the opposite experience. I enjoyed building the Saturn V a lot more than the Shuttle. But I do agree that the Shuttle makes an excellent display piece, and is a little more interesting to play with.

You didn't mention that Saturn doesn't have any stickers and the Discovery stickers, especially those mirrors, are a nightmare. 🤣
i actually left those stickers out of mine , i'm displaying it with the cargo bay closed
not adding those stickers.. me and my son hate the stickers, its a joke to NOT put them on
Oh, yeah. I hated doing the stickers on the Shuttle. The Saturn V was a lot more fun the build.

Its still insane how cheap the Saturn V is for how big it is !!! The new lego city set of the rocket SLS cost way more and it have way less pieces and its way smaller !!!

Yeah 10213 and 10231 are more true to the scale of the space shuttle versus Saturn V lol.
@@mewimi funny though as the space shuttles seats fit perfectly micro figures yet so does the Saturn 5 even though the scales are different

So this is why they kept declining on other people's lego ideas sets as they were working on this beast!!!. Shame they didn't add the fuel rockets and bosters
few days after release were boosters and rocket available on rebrickable 😂
