  • Hey everyone, this episode we leave the High country and arrive to the wet windy coast at Rakaia. Nice to plug into power and Toby breaks the fishing fast, by finally catching us a fish, which we all enjoyed eating.

Just thinking back to my own childhood, these are the kinds of times that would shine in my memory. Still think back to early camping days, waking up shivering in my sleeping bag, but warming up to my mom and dad talking over the sound of frying bacon and eggs. What absolute marvelous experiences for your children! Bruce and Otis

Well done catching the Trout Toby. We put a couple of lemon slices and a bit of butter inside the trout before wrapping it in tin foil. A little tip scrape the line of blood off the back bone before cooking use a teaspoon. Great video 👍

Some great East Coast experiences before your journey through the mountains, snow and off to the Tasman sea. Well done on the Trout Toby. Looked delicious and the perfect way to cook it. A bit of lemon, herbs and butter goes well too. If it's a big fish I sometimes remove the fillet to fit it in the BBQ or oven. But usually just gut and cook whole.
You captured some awesome drone footage there.
