Sir i had filled an rti online ,but now i have got the information by other source , What should i write and to whom should i email ,to make my application null rejected . Now i dont want that information or any investigation regarding that issue ... Do i need to send email to that cpio and what should i write and is it legally correct to do so .

Thanks for such amazing information Sir and Live law... I have a query... Suppose a govt University hostel where we used to stay earlier is completing 80yrs and we want to commemorate that... So we want to file an RTI with the university to provide the names and contact details of all the boarders of the hostel.... Will that be provided or would that come under personal info of section 8 of the act?? If we ask for names only, would that be provided??
From the Pandemic spread in 2019, most of the Departments are not replying / furnishing the information asked under RTI. Even !st & 2nd Appeals are not being heard. What should be done in that case?

If not replying for more than 30 days, a per day fine of 250 rupees can be claimed
@@ooruthendi4277 Information commissioner are rarely penalising, they advice the departments to furnish the information in aweeks time.
