Happened to me a couple of months ago, I´ve been playing for 15 years but have never had a bigger score than 10k, I was 8000$ i debt to friends and bills and i promised myself that if i got up to that amount i would pay everyone back and stop playing, boom one saturday in november 2021 i put down 40$ on horses here in sweden, won 10K, took me about 2 weeks then it was all gone, i bought a new computer for 800$ and paid 400$ to one of my friends, the rest of the money I gambled away on more horses, poker and betting instead of paying back the people who were nice enough to lend me money. I havent been the same since I let myself down.

I lent him 1k cash cause he needed to pay some bills. 3 months later he told me he won 17k at craps and even showed me the three 5k chips he had. I didn’t ask for my 1k back and was hoping he would pay be back. He didn’t and lost it all 1 week later and no joke asked me to borrow another thousand. I ignored him and actually don’t care if we still friends anymore. All over 1k it’s sad.

Losing 1.3K in a single hand made me quit online poker, just before Poker's Black Friday... I can't imagine losing 1.3M in a single night!! I still think online poker "owes" me that 1.3K... Good thing I'm in a state where online poker still hasn't been legalized 🤣🤣

Can't say this sort of thing is uncommon. Playing when you're emotions are out of sync like that is the worst, been there man.
