- In this video we give examples of open and closed loop sequences of operation used in DDC systems. See how a Supply Air Discharge Temperature sensor works in a closed loop to maintain the supply air temperature set point. See how a Heating hot Water Temperature Reset schedule works with a Boiler to reset the hot water temperature based on the outside air temperature.

basically the second example where it uses open loop, it predicts how much heat is needed, so if the reset schedule says that a lot of heat is needed, it will try to output higher temperature (makes sense because it would speed up the heat exchange in the coil further requiring less fluid and less pump usage)
