It is amazing how much stronger this kind of music is at eliciting emotions than that with lyrics. Thanks for posting

I know the picture is a flying mountain with roots, but zoomed out it looks like a nose with gnarly nose hairs. That is my major takeaway from this masterpiece of sonic comfort.

After going through a bunch of the albums on your channel I regret only exposing myself to mostly Japanese Post-Rock / Explosions in the Sky. Great taste in music man, who you keep the train rollin'!

Red Forest is an AMAZING Album, especially when you near the end it's like the release of a long awaited build up. I've been playing a lot of Bones of a dying world lately, and it's pretty good. There is also the old faithful "God is an Astronaut" and to get heavier I would check out Animals as Leaders (their self titled album is the best. Check out CAFO)

Sick album, What’s Yours Was Mine Is Never Leaving has an El Ten Eleven feel to it.

Beautiful album, consistently composed and amazingly sounding. The band is on the same level as their homies sleepmakeswaves, Dumbsaint and Meniscus. Enjoyed that little math-rockey touch on some tracks.
I've got a weird utopian dream of post-rock becoming institutionalized beside classical music to evolve more intensively and to reach new heights aesthetically and technically, for it's the only subgenre of rock deserving this fate. More of post-rock bands, while remaining on the same electronic-infused rock ground, should look up to the wisdom of 300-year evolution of classical music to apply it to their creative process... everyone's whining on conservativity when it comes to post-rock, but most of naysayers forget that it was conservativity that made classical music so relevant and unreachably high comparing with any other genre. It is creative conservativity that pushes boundaries of art quality, that causes the intensive development, focusing on a compositional and proffessional level, but not on a mindless borrowing of already established and trendy techniques just for the sake of popularity and actuality, which is an extensive and, let's be honest, quite ephemeral, unchallenging way for an artist, only contributing to mediocrity. Fancy how amazing would it be to hear some classical pieces reimagined with these delayed guitars and tremolos, but with appropriate scale and proffessional awareness. Or how grandiously beautiful could sound some classical or neoclassical symphony with addition of post-rock-infused ambientish guitars, bass, synths or even drums. Or it's just me going crazy because of a post-rock overdose? xD

this music is great, but these band names are ridiculous. I'm trying to find a common thread, much like the notions of death and hardcoreness in Metal band names... So far the themes I have found are Nature and the sense of being lost. I'm not trying to be judgy, it just dawned on me as I was browsing through.
    Who cares. Thanks for this.

How many more postrock bands which all sound like EitS side-projects the planet can bear, is there anyone left under the Sun who is actually still fond of these neverending tremolos and crescendos?
