I have been hoping and praying that someone would put this wonderful video on, thank you so much, great upload. Peter Elliot ran magnificently here with some of the best middle distance runners in the world behind him at the time in this race. It is hard breaking such a great World Record of 3.46.32 when you have to front run from 600 metres out, he was battling so hard down the home straight and obviously running out of energy, but he had run the legs off the rest by that time. This may be considered his best victory in his career because of the quality of the opposition; Kerochi, Herald, Doyle, Bile, and I think Steve Scott, all world class runners. Peter's best chance of breaking world records was fast, even paced running when one doesn't possess a short fast kick finish, and that's what he did when he broke the World Indoor Record in the 1500 metres in 1990 during his Golden Period of 20 wins in a row, also including his Commonwealth 1500 Gold Medal and the fastest 800 metres in the world of 1.42.93 in Seville during that 20 race series; magnificent performances from Peter. He got to the top via pure hard work, determination, absolute consistency and of course talent. I do hope that one day someone will upload Peter's victory over Jens Peter Herald in the European Cup of 1991 when he did a 51 second last lap, plus his victory over Steve Cram who was admittedly past his best, whilst Peter was near to his peak, they both peaked at different times, at the now tragically and disgracefully demolished Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield in 1991. He is an absolute role model of mine because of his hard work, no nonsense but fair attitude, and pure consistency. He had a work ethic and sportsmanlike attitude that were pure class. Thank you Peter.
@@sjtsports2381 Thank you so so much, that is very kind. I watch Peter Elliot races a lot, he is a real inspiration, he is a true inspiration to me. I look forward to the upload, have a lovely day.
