yeah these do really good, especially if you are being conservative on the throttle If you keep it around 20mph and under you can get at least 50 miles out of it, maybe even 60 at top speed in eco (28 mph) you can get around 45 miles and in sport mode probably 15-30 miles depending on speed
I would join the facebook group There's a ride every saturday, including today. If you are interested they leave from gasworks park at 7:30 sharp (I think they start meeting up around 7pm) and the ride is like a 15 mile or so loop

The unicycle guys freak me out!! Lol. That's probably the most efficient and lightest way to ride. They probably get the best range!
yeah seems super sketch to me too, but you are probably right about range, although you can probably fit bigger batteries on a bike than a unicycle
Do you need a license to ride that? Even on trails do you think that I can ride without registering to DMV? I live in Redmond and want to buy one.

Not sure about redmond specifically but you should be fine as long as you aren't riding too crazy
