Crazy you just posted this video today. Last night I went down a rabbit hole that started with axles and ended with a video of you installing a b series lsd from about 4 years ago. Crazy how awesome your videos have become both in quality and content and to see how you've grown as a person and being comfortable on camera. Your killing it man keep up the good work. From one 20+ year honda enthusiast to another I'm proud of you!!!
Hey John, a bit of a heads up, the reason the trans was so finicky to get in was the same reason the clutch alignment tool was so tough to pull out. The alignment tool should always slide in and out with little to no friction. In your case the clutch was slightly misaligned making it a bitch and a half to get the trans in. Just a heads up! Nice and informative video otherwise.
good descriptive video💯, my ek has a k24 with a K20z3 trans on a base map and just like you said when driving it. Feels way faster 🔥cant wait to see when you get it tuned. Shout out Nomis Industries hell ya
Killer vid man, little tip is take out the oil diverter plates an inspect behind them most likely that previous owner blew something those pieces wemt everywhere an hide behind the oil diverters one on inside case one on outside I've personally made that mistake when I was learning how to do k trans an same shit bearings failed shortly after every single piece should be cleaned when it brakes any part inside other wise those little pieces get stuck in every piece spinning thousands of times per second an yee. Mad props tho not trying to be owe your doing it wrong just a friendly gesture to save you on the next one pass it on to the next guy if you will 🙌💪💪
@boosted_john ahh hella youre welcome 🙏 I hear ya man just was making sure like shit hope he checked behind them hoes lol I've went through 7 transmissions in my boosted 8th gen now I rebuild them on the weekends I got so good at it haha watch out man might be having hella customers in your area now for sure 🤣
I think all 5 bearings + seal were about 250. I haven’t paid for them yet so I’m not sure. I had a buddy order them for me from Honda and he hasn’t billed me yet. #idontcheckthepriceallidoisswipe
Quick tip when changing bearings or diff bearings throw the diff in freezer over night or bearings. Those babies will slide right on

Your heater core definitely toast, But man pumped for this car!!!
Great video, a B-Series Transmission video is also handy 😀!
Appreciate the video on this. Had to do this on my 9th gen SI

No pain in this Dojo.

If you like budwiser then modelo Negra will be a smooth transition 👌
I like them all. I don’t discriminate. Well… except bud light. That’s a no go for me lol.
That chatter you hear is the clutch fork rattling from lack of grease.
Did you see pfi speeda head gasket that they got to fix
Whats the part number for the input shalf bearing
John! Quick question: what camera are you using for the video? Looks super clean and I like it!
Sony A6400 with sigma 10-18mm f2.8 lens.
If it’s in your budget, I’d highly recommend getting the Sony a6700 instead.
@@boosted_john thanks bro!
Heater core is a good guess.
It's the heater core 💯 %
You can see the synchronize parts 12:57
You need a press 19:22
And those are the good ones some one ran that without oil 9:10
Don’t be shy, what’s the wheel specs?🙏🏽🙏🏽 going for a similar look.
I honestly have no idea. I know they’re 16’s
@@boosted_johnthank you. Love the build by the way, kinda hope you decide to keep it lol.
Where happy for youbthank you Johnny son 38:48
I got you on that box 39:26

Yeah they have but i think it didnt get oil 12:57
How they replace bearings at Honda: 19:24 😂
What's exhaust is it
On k series you don’t have to remove the starter to pull the trans it’s not a B series lol you just loosen the bottom 17 and starter stays there.
Thanks!
Heater core is the only thing it can be
You're better off keeping the ek k swap car I would end up just selling your 8th gen Civic SI
Buy my ek!
whats the exhaust setup
PLM RB V2 Header with Yonoka 2.5” cat back
How much were the bearings
I think all 5 bearings + seal were about 250. I haven’t paid for them yet so I’m not sure. I had a buddy order them for me from Honda and he hasn’t billed me yet. #idontcheckthepriceallidoisswipe
