Stained shutters to match the porch would look really good on the house. Also you could add cedar mulch around the mailbox which would also bring out the porch color. Your house is beautiful! ❤
I think you should put a fence all the way around the pool the baby will eventually get bigger and it would be better to be safe.

I would love to have your bushes. They just need to be pruned. The flowers are irises. The flower that is on the bush is a hydrangea. You all have a beautiful home. Glad you’re feeling better.
Ladies, I think I would spend the investment to have a professional landscaping company come out and trim up/remove the stuff around the house and get it back to a manageable level for you guys to be able to maintain. I have a feeling that some of the extensive landscaping that the old owners left might be contributing to drainage. As for the "forrest" area, I would keep on your electric company/local utilities until they get out there and make them clear out that mess. In OK where I am located, our local electric coop does not want anyone trimming in areas around electric/fiber optic lines, so they will come out and take care of it free of charge.
Girl y’all’s landscaping is so beautiful! I couldn’t imagine cutting it all down! I’m all for the one in the front being done because it looks like a bunch of things growing together.. may need to weed it out and trim to see what’s going on there! Before removing all the bushes on the sides, trim them and shape them and then see how you all like it! They definitely put money into that landscaping. However if y’all don’t like the look, of course change it!

I'd cut those one bushes in the back down and use under ur porch for storage u could put deck boxes under there.
For the first time I would pay a landscaper to trim everything up and then you will know how to keep it trimmed. Curb appeal would be lost if you cut everything down. Just saying.

The bush with the blue flowers is a hydrangea bush. Leave the dead sticks alone.
I know you guys are tough, and can do many things, but in this case I think you would benefit from having a professional landscaping company come out and take care of it for you. As for the overgrowth in the back of the house, I would call that darn utility company every day until they took care of it. You could even call your local news channel, and tell them what's going on , emphasize that it's a snake haven in there, and you are recovering from surgery, and afraid to even think about tackling it yourself. Lay it on thick to both places. I hope you get some resolution real soon ❤❤.

Hi Amanda and Heather, there is a lot of landscaping around the house. I would cut down or definitely trim some of the trees. The house is beautiful but too much landscaping takes away the beauty of the home. Just my opinion 😘

Ask your lawn person to trim the trees and bushes,
The rhizomes of the irises can be dug up and transplanted in the flowerbeds. Trim the irises that are strappy and trim to a small fan shape and transplant for beautiful flowers next year. Rhizomes need to be buried shallow in the soil and planted 18 inches apart. 😊

Another great video! I would put some pallets under the house and use that for pool storage. I love all your greenery around your house. I would research what you have and trim it. Add some rose bushes in your open areas for pops of color. With the back yard, I would call a mulching company for a quote. Y'all don't need to be around those power lines....leave that for a company to handle.

Hello Amanda. I hope your feeling better, I think I'm having gallbladder trouble too. A few weeks ago I was sick throwing up and the tio part of my stomach hurting so bad but it passed and then just yesterday it done it again after eating and it was so painful. I really dont think it's a virus I'm thinking maybe gallbladder,.
