    Fun video!
    I've finally just accepted that my fairway finder is a squeezy low heely fade that usually finds the right rough, but never any trouble.

    I think next time you should try the hardest shot in golf....the topped drive into the concrete surround of the winter tee which then goes back over your head and behind the trees at the back of the tee leaving you a second shot not only fifty yards longer than your first but blocked out as well. It is such a tough shot that I have only managed it once....

    Really like that kind of video. I know you guys don't necessarily fancy yourselves as an instructional or swing mechanics type of channel but I remember what Ian said in one of your podcast interviews, fitters have to be 75% fitter 25% swing coach, maybe content like this fits into that latter 25% area a little bit? Nice video guys. Played yesterday for the first time this season, thanks to covid. But it was windy as hell, probably 15-20mph constant. And was also using a new driver, Cobra f9. Took me little bit to figure out to tee it down some and move it back a little. Didn't shoot good, but still had a blast. Stay safe, hit'em straight.

    I hit this shot by putting the ball, tee'd down, a bit up in my stance (like I'm going to hit a fade), set up square to my target, and put about 60 percent of my weight on my front foot (vertical spine angle). Has been very consistent for me.

    A Situation or Scenario Saturday would be cool during the lockdown. Could get into club options for your distances but also throw in for average golfer options too. I appreciate the thought process side of things as well as the obvious technical/fitting side. I always feel more confident knowing the why behind things, and I feel like my game has improved from knowing some of the equipment limitations or poor set make up choices from your content so that I can play more to my strengths. More good shots and more good misses is making it more fun to play. Appreciate the content as always.

    As much as I respect each of you gents...such a scenario is a far, far. far cry from the real Sunday final hole swing. Hence, you have not walked and played 4 rounds back-to-back, moreover, the physical stress on your body, not to mention the mental stress (leading a major) is by no means represented in the shoots you both hit. A player's ability to execute such a swing is, in my book, not something that can be simulated. That aside, thank you as always for thinking out of the box and provide us food for thought....cheers!

    • @89Sod
      @89Sod 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Strange comment, dont think they are making the video for the benefit of anyone who is a good enough to be leading a major buddy... they are giving us mere mortals a go to way of finding a fairway under pressure, which for most of us will b to win the Saturday sweep.. not a claret jug.

    • @golf007sd2
      @golf007sd2 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@89Sod I get what you are saying bud. My point was, which I hope came across in some fashion, the "state of a player" in all aspect of doing the right thing in the heat of the moment is something that can NEVER be simulated. Having a plan in what to do and what not to do is a total differeent argument; to that end, TXG did a great job in giving us all things to think about.

    Love this new video series! What I was impressed with the most is that you both kept your club head speed up the same as your normal drive! Do you recommend still swinging as hard for a safe shot? Or do you think it’s best to swing a little softer/slower to help you find the fairway?

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the player, but in general a confident swing is best - doesn’t benefit most people to try to slow down as it usually causes some hesitation and lack of release

    • @ScottDreyfus
      @ScottDreyfus 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@clubchampionmedia that's good to hear. The M5 had two big misses. Shots out of the toe could go right of right with descent face to path, and high strikes didn't spin enough and fell out of the sky hauling ass left. I loved it when I was on, but always in the back of my mind, had fear of a miss that I had no idea which side of the planet it might land on. It cracked after five months of miss hits, and #TeamTaylormade were nice enough to replace it. After a head cracks I tend to loose faith in the design no matter how well it performed. I think Callaway rogue SZ was the best driver ever made from a performance standpoint, but I broke 3 of them in 11 months. I just don't like having to figure out a new driver head every 3 months. They are all a little different.
