Funfact: By pure coincidence, Keine Box is "no box" in german.
Tbh, Mokou's existance is really scuffed. The human mind is not made to comprehend eternity, but I can certainly imagine how it could lead to being on a pendulum of being so detached that you are utterly clueless and so attached that you get the big cry and can't last a single halfday alone.
I guess a vague desire to properly belong somewhere again could also be used as a "good enough" excuse for why canon Mokou appearently became a Youkai before the summer of 2019 according to FDS iirc. While they are still mortal and nowhere near infinite, they would still be more easy to identify with than the average human lifespan, lol.(But that's just me pulling bs out of thin air to justify weird lore)
