He also did when whitebeard said that blackbeard "may kill luffy's spirit, but he can never extinguish his flame". The flame that can't be extinguished has connotations with the undying mother flame. It may also give hints about how the fight between luffy and blackboard will go. It is almost as if luffy undying flame will dominate blackbeard's darkness, therefore luffy will need to eat the mother flame so his undying flame will conquer blackbeard's darkness. GODA'S foreshadowing is just insane😁(I made this theory myself).

Just like how fire needs oxygen to keep it's flames lit and how Luffy always needs to eat in order to regain his stamina I feel like these 2 traits even though they seem random has meaning to it

At 5:45, it may seem a bit of a stretch (pun intended) but if you tilt the image slightly to the right, the way it is drawn you could see like a subtle smile and eye on the mother flame making even more connection to joyboy and luffy.

Also relates to the theory (i think it is from Arthur of library of ohara) that the old civilization created the Lunarian (being normal people from the moon on esteroids). In short, Luffy is kinda missing the fire on the back thing. Being this fire the "power" giving new life to the gigant robot on egghead. And that's how the Lunarian warriors powered everything. My theory is that when we see yellow hair and abilities close to sun we will witness the true power of Nika fruit.I think now we only see a portion of the power.That's why he can produce fire and withstand heat.The name on the fruit is god sun so where is that power we only see rubber.

I bet that Blackbeard’s crew will team up with Luffy’s crew in the end to defeat Imu. When Imu is defeated Blackbeard will still have the same mindset to conquer the world and his ideology will be even more tyrannical than Imu’s ideology. Afterwards, Luffy will fight Blackbeard to free the world. Hence, Blackbeard is the final Villain. We have seen other supernovas that had teamed up with Luffy in the past to defeat bigger enemies for a temporary alliance.

IDEA: Luffy can't be fully awakened as kaido said "devil fruits awaken when your mind and body reach that of your devil fruits power" he wouldn't know the power of nika Luffy still thinks his DF is gum gum what if when he finds out what it actually is he will fully awaken. Giving him another power up
The interesting thing about the yonko is that kaido and shanks both utilize combination haki types. Shanks uses conqueror and observation haki as one and kaido used conqueror and armament as one.
Truthfully theres only one form of haki split into 3 understandings. The reason Roger wasnt the one is because the goal is not only "one piece" but one haki too.
I wonder if you need the body from the nika fruit to be able to use true haki (all three forms as one: here higher enlightment from roger or luffy) roger didnt have the fruit and thats why he wasnt the one. This is probably what shanks will tell luffy in Elbalf when Luffy learns conqueror + observation haki.
There could be a gear 6 but the haki upgrade is more likely. Luffy probably cant damage the gorosei because they are using all three as one or they have that extension because of imu. (Lower enlightment)
Luffy represents the self that is free gear 5 being the higher self (higher enlightment) . Imu represents the self that seeks to control seen as the lower self. They have the same goal but from different perspectives (imu = I am you)
When Luffy combines all 3 forms of haki he will be the true self and the most powerful because he will be the most free. No longer shackled by body (armament) mind (observation) or soul (conqueror) he will be what he always has been. The spirit or truth of freedom
I just cant see imu teleporting lulusia to the moon. eitherway the citizens would die on earth or the oxygenless moon. I believe the stakes are just getting higher, people are dying at Imu's hands and luffy will need to reach shanks or roger level Haki and complete gear 5 mastery. Personally, I am waiting for Luffy to pull out the sun god spear and sword, which may be more important than we know.
Truly there are a couple ways this can go, either he eats mother flames and gets rid of one of his most detrimental weaknesses which is his energy or stamina issues, OR he snaps out of his Atreus syndrome. Incase you don't know what Im saying, Atreus is a character from God of War 4 which suffered drawbacks he'd had from birth which was resolved once he knew of his origins. In other words instead of Atreus fighting like a God or a giant he was fighting like a human and it nearly costed his life. I can see this maybe being the case especially when we look at these two examples, awakened Rob Lucci knows the power he got, hes not pretending to be some house cat and instead he uses the power of his leopard devil fruit as should be, meanwhile luffy is still using the Nika fruit as of it where the gum gum fruit which may explain why in the heck lucci can just, stand up like normal after getting clapped multiple times in his and Luffy's fight. Meanwhile luffy gasses out, turns old, he is limiting himself unknowingly and can do so much more than what he can already do. Of course this is my argument but there is two more options, which can be both of these things happen, or can be none of it happening. At the end of the day Im here to gush at the chapters, world building and story telling of Oda sensei.
When luffy came in egghead he got angry and got into a gear 5 rage form but as a comedy purpose this theory might be true but I think later on sabo dies and then luffy goes berserk and then has the fire fist of ace and sabo with the fire hair

I feel like Gear 5 is the final form, but just like Gear 4 where Luffy has different “stages” or “forms” of it like Bounceman and Snakeman, I think Gear 5 will have something similar to that

luffy will take serious damage at some point and will be on the brink of death, law and bepo will show up as they escaped black beard. laws wounds will be fatal. he will grant immortality to luffy, thus bypassing luffys down fall of gear 5 zapping his energy. black beard will show up, gorosei will escape with the motherflame, luffy will escape to elbaf with the giants. side note, with luffys immortality he will meet with toki in the future as she is waiting for him she will use her awakening and send luffy back to the past in exchange for his life, luffy will go on to live in the void century because he was always JOY BOY.
Something tells me that rocks Devil is somehow joyboy but awakened in opposite since rocks all about killing poeple so it awaken the darker side while luffy is a laughing all time it awaken the joyboy one

Luffy won't get new gear but he will achieve the true gear 5 by consuming the mother flame which is the power stolen from Previous Nika fruit owner, joyboy.
