I've actually seen some big snook swimming those trails. It killed me that I didn't have enough room to cast to them. One tip when going through those trails: if you have a breakable paddle, take it apart and use it like an oar. Since it gets so narrow in there, many times it's tough to use a full kayak paddle.
i just learned that youtube pays more if someone watches a whole ad instead of clicking skip so i will be watching full ads on this channel from now on. props to my peeps Marty
Thanks for the great videos Marty! This is one of my very favorite channels and I wind up learning a lot from you. You live in an area that looks like an absolute paradise (at least through your photography). My favorite part about your videos is you show us just how easy it actually is to just go fishing! I now bring several poles with me on the road and just find a local city pond or lake to fish after work. I have an inflatable pontoon with a frame but after watching your channel, I'm convinced the kayak seems to be the much better option. .
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any help you can give me.
@Steven Alexzander I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Awesome video! Amazing place, will have to rent a kayak if I ever get down there. Love the bacon cheeseburger ending! Great job, be well and fish on! Mark in Oregon
Cool trails! That look like a nice snook and red! The water was supper skinny and clear made the fish extra spooky! White bait or shrimp might of gotten them to bite. If no live bait try a gulp shrimp with a subtle presentation cast way in front of them and work it slow !
Weedon Island, that's my next of the woods. There are a lot of fishing pressure here as you saw for yourself by all the boats. Fishing can be hard, but the trails are a lot of fun and there are many friendly kayakers around. I remember the first time in the trail I had my 13' Ocean Kayak and navigating the trail was interesting at times lol Lots of bumps and scratches ;P
Great video Marty. I always look forward for your next adventure. That place is beautiful. How do you find the music you use? It always seems to go along perfectly with your travels! Amazing. Tight lines my friend.
Very.. very cool...wish we had places like that here in the western highlands of VA. I know down by Jamestown VA off the James River there are little swampy coves like Sandy Bay, Back River, College Creek, Neyses Bay, I thought those were cool, but nothing like that...Great Video, WOW that was a lot of Yakers...Thanks
Great video. Thanks for making it for us newbies. I am just getting into yakking with my 2 young boys and just bought them 8 ft sit-on and a sit in. I'm gonna make toons for the sit-on since it's very unstable. I will use your ideas, hope you don't mind.Better luck next time. ;)
lol didn't realize where this was i live on 4th st right next to gandy. Will be getting my kayak this week waiting on the roof rack. Do you need off mosquito spray when you're out there?
Definitely subscribing after this video. I've been planning a trip down to the Sarasota/Tampa Bay area to do some fishing and I'm wondering if you have any pointers for where to go in the beginning of February to catch something. Also if you know any cool spots to paddle the are in spring fed areas. I was hoping to go fishing near Chassahowitzka since it seems really beautiful there. Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Happy fishing and tight lines!
love your videos! going to be making my own soon with my buddy :) have you ever fished ozello florida? thats where most of our trips are going to start at, we will explore florida more later on
man i luv watching ur channel just watching u catch fish makes me want to get my kayak out and fish but its a pain i dont hav a yak like urs mines a sundolphin arabi 10 so i hav no room for rods or tackle i hav to use 1 rod and carry a small shoulder tacklebox which is at my feet so its hard to fish out of
I been thinking about getting into kayaking cause I live in North East Florida just off the St Johns River. The only thing that worries me about it is comming accross a gator and it see's me as dinner served. Have you ever encountered them, and what do you do if one attacks.
hey man, I know its off point but where do you find all the music? it adds to your production so much with so little. beautiful job man! your tips have helped my learning curve about fishing here so much I just wanna say thanks! keep up the good work!
Welll Darn, now I have added another item to my Bucket List! Gee, not sure if I should thank you or not. I love your videos, Zoffinger, You actually got me out on a Kayak. I have one, modified it to fishing and have gone out every Saturday since June this year , I have a vid of my modifications if you check them out... Keep up the great vids, I will keep watchin.
I've been watching your videos for a while now but haven't subscribed until today (just now) and this is the first video where I am going to disagree with you. With all the beauty you saw, and the fact that you backed out to not take away from the boater's fishing experience, to me, there is no way to call this getting skunked... Even with no fish on, I still wouldn't call it skunked. :) I will be getting a fishing kayak soon and will be doing a lot of freshwater fishing and if/when I learn to saltwater fish (I don't have a clue - 100% newbie) I might get to those areas. I have learned so much just watching your videos and I really appreciate all your videos! (especially the ice fishing in the hobie! ROFL!) Just for info - I have many hours in a sport kayak on floating trips, but none in a fishing kayak. I look forward to it. :)
That is a great place... a jungle in the water, one day I hope I have a chance to see that. And not fish in that area ?... it looks to me a lot of cover for a fish, thanks for the trip \m/ \m/
+ Zoffinger I tried to retrace the position by google earth. It seems to be a regulary canal structure. Obviuosly inviting for different reasons. I appreciate Your videos.
It might just be me , being new to these signs , but heck I rather they had a weather proof map with the big star, saying "You are here"! Then a number and picture of two person paddling .. 😁
Hey zoffinger. I Watch everyone of your videos and I was wondering if you could possibly go back to the spot with some different baits. Maybe some live bait. I know you’re working on your business but I’m sure you can find some free time to try this out thanks so much!!!
Its actually a marked trail within the mangroves. On one side, you have the bay. On the other side, you have an inlet with residences and the park's boat ramp. Impossible to get lost.

I have to say. I enjoy your fishing channel better than any high budget show on cable or satellite. Thank you for sharing.
i just learned that youtube pays more if someone watches a whole ad instead of clicking skip so i will be watching full ads on this channel from now on. props to my peeps Marty
I never tire of watching your videos! Thanks for posting them.
I got skunked too the one time I went fishing at Weedon Island. Beautiful place. I'd love to explore more of the waters there sometime.
I'm always excited when I see a new video of yours in my feed! Love the video quality/shots, places you go and things I learn!
Wow, what a treat the trails are. Thanks for taking us along; amazing!
Wow ...you take me places I would never go . Your videos are inspiring and give me courage to explore .Thanks for taking me along for the ride .

The mangroves are such a spectacular place. Great vid!

Another great video. I really like your work.
Very cool! Yet another place for me to check out!
AWESOME...i am in clearwater and looking forward to visiting this great place.
When I got my first yak I went out with a friend who told me about Weedon Island and I was so amazed at the beauty of it all. I was hooked.

Love your Channel, such pragmatic advice, well done.

Great video Marty. I always look forward for your next adventure. That place is beautiful. How do you find the music you use? It always seems to go along perfectly with your travels! Amazing. Tight lines my friend.

this reminds me a lot of 9 mile pond in the everglades, if you ever get the chance its worth it to check it out.
Awesome dude good to see you again
lol didn't realize where this was i live on 4th st right next to gandy. Will be getting my kayak this week waiting on the roof rack. Do you need off mosquito spray when you're out there?
We have tons of those trails down here in the Everglades, no markers so google earth and a handheld GPS is must.
Can you do a complete Johnny bass boat 100 DIY rebuild, with the four horsepower Suzuki 4-stroke, with the pontoons added?

Have you ever fished around Davis Island? I use to have some good luck out there.
have you ever ran into gators?? that place is amazing...
Hell Yeah!! That's my backyard!! Wish would have known, I would have joined you.
Wow what a beautiful spot
Cool fun.....burger looked nice too !!
This is one of my favorite places to kayak, mostly bc I live so close!
awesome music great touch
I'm lucky because I live a 15 minute drive from there.
so this summer my sister and I are gonna try paddle boarding (they have a rental service) ^-^
hey man, I know its off point but where do you find all the music? it adds to your production so much with so little. beautiful job man! your tips have helped my learning curve about fishing here so much I just wanna say thanks! keep up the good work!
Im definitely going to have to check that place out
Thinking about going next weekend, weather should be nice unlike this weekend :)
Nothing like a good burger to calm the hunger down. Better luck next time, awesome video like always.
I love your videos I will be getting a one-man pontoon boat soon
I love your channel. Watch all the time. You need to invest in a GPS. Find a used one on ebay.
Take your fishing to another level.
The ending gave me the giggles!
Someday take the time to give us a primer on your use of the gopros and your settings.
Welll Darn, now I have added another item to my Bucket List! Gee, not sure if I should thank you or not.

WHEN YOU GO OUT ON YOUR ADVENTURES DO YOU EVER RUN INTO ANY WATER SNAKES?
did you launch from gandy bridge?

+Wayne's RV Thanks for the sub, Wayne :^)
Thats what I like to see. A man who knows there is more than one easy way to feel better about getting skunked :)
That is a great place... a jungle in the water, one day I hope I have a chance to see that. And not fish in that area ?... it looks to me a lot of cover for a fish, thanks for the trip \m/ \m/
you are cool. Come black Friday I will buy my first Kayak. I am learning a lot from you.
+ Zoffinger I tried to retrace the position by google earth. It seems to be a regulary canal structure. Obviuosly inviting for different reasons.
I appreciate Your videos.
We should link up sometime and go fishing one weeked. I live in saint pete, am an avid angler and just bought another kayak.
I went there recently and they took down the signs and replaced them with orange ribbons so me and my brother got pretty lost
fun ride thank so much...
hey do you ever fish freshwater spots
Amazing view
Marty Are you from tampa area?
It might just be me , being new to these signs , but heck I rather they had a weather proof map with the big star, saying "You are here"! Then a number and picture of two person paddling .. 😁
Nice! Thanks for sharing. I bet those Jr. Bacon Cheese burgers were OK.
Great video what country do you live ?
Us
Cool video, thanks.
That's real cool.. But we don't get to do that here. In Sarawak, cause ya'll probably come face to face with a gigantic croc
love that place!
Anyone else notice the fish (3-5) of them at 9:08 ?
Is the emotion spitfire 8 stable enough to stand up without the pontoons??
I couldn't do it.
zoffinger ejyfndgtjylkoftdgfhjgktvjvjink743qilj9gkvkuncjfnvm kvkgmvktnfhc. Mfhfhvndjcmvjynihuhdjfkxhdjckf

Hey zoffinger. I Watch everyone of your videos and I was wondering if you could possibly go back to the spot with some different baits. Maybe some live bait. I know you’re working on your business but I’m sure you can find some free time to try this out thanks so much!!!
Makes me want to drag my canoe out of the cellar and get back on the water, thanks
Wow, I love seeing other youtubers comment on people's videos! (btw you're videos are awesome)
KON TIKI hangin with....Kool!
I think I'd carry some engineers ribbon in there to "bread crumb" my trail in and thus back out…don't you get a bit lost?
charlie
