I was today on a tour to a small village in chhattisgarh. The entire village had come together to mourn the death of one of their own young police officer who was killed in the bijapur attack. Not many people in India are familiar with the ghastly situation faced by policemen and crpf jawans in naxal regions of Chhattisgarh. Even the centre seems to be aloof about the situation and has more or less accepted that there is no solution to naxalites.

Naxalism has deep economic roots. These leaders brainwash local villagers by portraying govt as evil. But it is equally true that our politicians and mining mafia have destroyed the livelihoods of many villagers. This makes them believe in Naxal leaders. The key to solving Naxal problem is bringing development into Chattisgarh. These naxals have been wiped out of Telangana, Andhra, Odisha and Maharastra because of development schemes reaching the poor villagers.

If you zoom in so much and just circle the place, there is no reference. So had to go search for myself on google maps. However, thank you for shedding some light on this topic.

China, the communist country where Maoism originated, gave up on Marxism and Maoism in 1978, and opted for authoritarian capitalism.
Vietnam, another communist country, gave up on Marxism in 1986, and also opted for authoritarian capitalism.
Germany, the country where Karl Marx was born, gave up on Marxism and Leninism in 1989, and opted for social democracy.
Even Soviet Union, the erstwhile leader of global communism, gave up on Marxism in 1985 and also gave up on Leninism in 1989, and opted for social democracy.
Yet, unfortunately, even after 30 years of the fall of Soviet Union and the clear failure of planned socialist economies, back here in India, we still have Naxalite insurgents killing policemen and security personnel in the name of their failed communist ideology, and Naxal sympathizers (so-called university intellectuals) giving them ideological affirmation, "credibility" and a voice in the mainstream, again, in the name of their failed ideology.
If that's not a tragedy, I don't know what is. My heartfelt condolences to the martyred security personnel, who, unlike the Maoists, actually do fight for something that is real and something that works, that is our motherland and our representative democratic system.

I have served in that area for 7 years. A few factual corrections:
    1. PLGA means People's Liberation Guerrilla Army.
    2. The DIG referred to did not lead the operation on April 6, 2010. He only planned it.
    3. That officer is not back in Chhattisgarh but is posted at Delhi.
    4. Socio-economic issues is just a myth. The area was not backward. There were roads, electricity, schools, primary health centres and banks (at Bheji, Jagargonda).
Maoists made the area backward by tearing down electricity poles (so that people don't get to watch TV and see the news and believe Maoist propaganda as news), cutting the roads (to slow down the responsefrom the security forces).
They destroyed the state institutions and created a vacuum. And then filled up that vacuum with their own institutions.
Maoists have bolshevized the entire society in area under their influence (under discussion).
We need to dwell upon and do a comparative analysis on why police and security forces have defeated Maoists in AP/Telangana and Jharkhand but suffered repeated reverses in the Bastar area.
I invite Shekhar Gupta to make an episode on that aspect too.

"We have carefully gone through the sequence of events." It said that prima facie it does not appear to be a fake encounter. '"I went through the report very carefully," Justice Alam said. The bench agreed to the plea of advocate Prashant Bhushan that he be allowed to go through the final report of the CBI which held the incident as a genuine encounter. Every day and every night there were activities in each and every Dist including the Hyderabad city, the Osmania University and Kakatiya Universities were the recuruitment centers for Moaist.
AP police has two Units one is GreyHounds and the SIB(Special Intelligence Branch). Both were formed in 1989, Greyhounds is the only unit which is most successfull in handling Insurgnecy in India, eben Today states special forces, central armed forces were trained by the Greyhounds how to handle the insurgency.
In Greyhounds will consists Ap or Telangana Police no CRPF, every IPS Officer as ASP has to undergo 06 months Training and operation.

The conventional wisdom proffered by intellectuals is "Oh you cannot use the armed forces against naxals because they are citizens of this country"
Naxals: We don't recognize the Indian state.
If the naxals themselves don't consider themselves to be citizens of the country why are we putting ourselves in this moral dilemma. To seek for validation? One must not forget how the Sri Lankan Army got rid of Prabhakaran.
We need Rashtriya Rifles like insurgency fighting teams on ground. In addition to this, the security apparatus must be handed over to military intelligence instead of IPS officers who end up making the same hackneyed statements every time an event like this happens. This is not a law enforcement problem, so keep the IPS cadre out. Also, bring in NIA for making a report on how things unfolded.
It is a shame that we take pride in doing Balakot and Surgical Strikes across the LOC and then we cannot take care of terrorists and their camps right in the middle of our country.
Lastly, the public has to recognize that red terror affects much larger area of the country than islamic terrorism which is largely contained to one state. It is the biggest threat to India's security.
If you are interested to know more about the last encounter do checkout the bastar talkies channel on TH-cam. The videos and images are very sensitive and heart wrenching.

    Hi sir,
You mentioned that in 20 years, 12,000 personnel died.. That makes it 600 per year. On the other hand, you mentioned only 3-4 incidents (during the last 6 years) where 20+ personnel had died on the Indian side. Has the situation improved (with respect to the number of people dying) or is it death by a thousand cuts where a couple of people are being killed in hundreds of incidents each year. I would love some clarity.
    Regards,

    • @adarshverma2014
      @adarshverma2014 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Uniform Civil Code is a complex topic both for BJP and Non-BJP parties. Reasons are as follows :
      1) UCC will take away the civilisational aspect of Hindus as it is a "modern" concept. Many relaxations for Hindu Males in Hindu Code Bill will go away specially relating to inheritance.
      2) UCC will make the Muslim Personnel Board redundant, polygamy and other sharia based laws will vanish. This will be good for Muslim women.
      3) UCC may have impact on other women related aspects like temple entry (though not directly).
Hence it is an ideological battle between modern vs conservatives in all religions. I feel only reason why BJP may get UCC would be to take powers away from Muslim males. Rest there would be opposition within RSS as well.
