What you do is sniper chess with the castle and tower, and you put the dark set on one, the light set on the other, and then you have another full set on the board. If the sniper takes out a piece on the castle, it gets removed from the board and vice versa!

My favorite reads from January were Tales from the Gas Station: Volume Four by Jack Townsend, Third Eye by Felicia Day, Born With Teeth by Kate Mulgrew, Sea People: The Puzzle of Polynesia by Christina Thompson, Crying in the Bathroom by Erika L. Sanchez, What If? 2 by Randall Munroe, Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, and Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb.

Pouring all of the bags together is wild. I always keep the piles seperate because the pieces within bags resemble each other so it makes it easier to find what you're looking for.

i had the most niche dream ever last night as i was falling asleep to this video: the first dream of the evening was just one where i was trapped in a scary cult and was trying to get out, but the second dream that’s related to Smosh was that i was trying to teach Angela and Amanda how to do proper impressions of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn from Wedding Crashers respectively (based on their TNTL bit), and when i tried to show them a clip from the movie for some reason Shayne was in the movie?!?!?! like i said, the most niche dream of all time…

I am still obsessed with the Great Illustrated Classics. I am very impressed with how they shorten books by hundreds of pages and simplify them for the age group (to a degree; their “Red Badge of Courage” was still the goriest kids book I’ve read) but still perfectly capture practically every scene and even include sentences from the original texts.
I’ve been wanting to read “Notre-Dame de Paris”, but that’s a big book for an ADHDer like me who hasn’t finished a novel in 5 years. I’ve been looking for the Great Illustrated Classics version because they’re nice and simplified, but I know they will still do the story justice.
(And as an ADHDer, I think it should be normalized for adults to read books designed for children. If it’s easier to read a kids chapter book rather than an adult novel, it should be encouraged, because you’ll at least be reading something. A Great Illustrated Classics or a Magic Treehouse is better than not reading a book for 10 years.)
