P90 is what was used in the original solo (and some of the other parts of The Wall). Thanks for the video.
I usually watch, listen to and leave. But I have to tell you... Amazing playing mate.
Fun fact: On the original recording, David Gilmour played a Les Paul Gold Top (with P-90 pickups) direct into the mixing desk and then gated and compressed the signal, before running it back out again and into a Mesa Boogie Mark I Amplifier which was mic’d up and recorded…
Excellent brother, very tight and technical. A lot of people do covers, and they miss subtle things from the original, you nailed every single note.

they sound different, but both sound great. the player is what makes it sound good, the guitar gives it a flavor.

In my personal opinion the Stratocaster sounds best. I really enjoy the reverb.
No other guitar sounds better or remotely as good as a strat. They are just built different, completely orgasmic sounding animals.
The reverb sounds just like it did on the wall, its a no brainer the strat is better

I must confess that I´m a fan of the P90s and that´s what I will always prefer, but the strat sounded great too. In this song in particular, it probably sounded more like the original by pink floyd. Anyway, there´s no reason to look for the best immitation of the original. I loved the p 90. And also, the skill of the guitar player is very important. You can play any song with any guitar and it will probably sound great. Congrats...

The P90 is clearly more dynamic and bright. If you listen carefully the Stratocaster sounds a little muddy and dull in comparison. Both guitars sounds great though, and Guty Rodrigues does a great job playing.
Well sound resonates more freely through strat because its neck is thinner so idk its more suitable for this song than p90 in my opinion

The combo LP+P90 is what he used for the original recording. Funny how people seem to like the strat best, or seem to think the LP was an odd choice.
Awesome tones in both regards. I prefer the smothness of the LP+P90 though. Strat is very bright and is not my thing.

You are an incredible player! Very tastefully done! The P90 sounded sweet, however the Strat simply nailed the Gilmour tone... of course!
One question, do you have any issues with the anodized aluminum pickguard making any static noise when you touch it with your hand? I have the Classic player 50s' and it's a pain in the bum bum! I also feel a slight pinch in the sensitive bottom part of my arm when I accidentally touch it there (light electrocution). There's no grounding where I live. Of course the pickup cavity is not shielded with copper tape, so I thought I might do that and see. Did you have any of these issue, and if so, did you do anything about it?
btw, the relicing on your Strat is lovely! Custom ordered that way or did you do it yourself?

I don't have any issue with my pickguard. The relicing was made by a brazilian artist called Fabricio Nunes, he's one of the owners of Dunamiz(Brazilian Custom Shop Guitars).

Thiago Thimotti Currently waiting on parts to upgrade my Strat, including copper tape shielding. I also decided to change my pickguard to a Mint Green one for aesthetics.

The problem is that your pickguard is working like a antenna. Just connect the ground to the pickguard and your problem will be solved. With the new pickguard, don't forget to shield the back of pickguard and make sure that this "back shield" is connected to the ground.

+rob chang Thank you Rob! I used Guitar Rig 5 stimulating a Orange amp with a Marshall cabinet with Celestions Greenback. I used too a Mrx Dyna Comp direct into my audio interface.
Strat sounds good, but I've got to give it to the Les Paul... It's a combination of warm tones and sustain that can't be beat. Stay safe... Rico
