Can you do me a favor and type out full subtitles for your text in both languages you speak? You speak like half in English and half in Vietnamese and sometimes have your own English subtitles for the Vietnamese. What you do not realize is if someone hits subtitles on TH-cam it's gonna either offer English or Vietnamese which will either create subtitles in English (with the Vietnamese translated into it) or vice versa. I want to see what you are saying in both languages written out in the alphabet shared by both languages, not with half translated by TH-cam but word for word what you are saying written, can you do this? It could help people who speak both languages learn each others. I am not sure if you are aware that TH-cam even does this, but it's an issue and the only way I know of to fix it is to just literally type it all out yourself and put it in.

JUST found this channel. Having been born in Saigon and immigrated to US ages ago. So my main connection to my Vietnamese heritage is through cooking and eating the cuisine. Which is why I love seeing other Americans enjoy the richness of V-culture! And I almost detect a southern twang from Max.. Hi from NYC-Hamptons 🤩

Great video. The fact that you can also speak with the Vietnamese takes your videos to another level, similar to how Bald could talk to the Russians. You're not just spectating and recording from outside, you're interacting. There's a dish I used to eat in Hanoi called Phở Tíu. I'd say it's the best dish I've ever had from anywhere in the world.
Have you tried it before? I only found 2 places in Hanoi that serve it, one being up the little food alleyway in the Old Quarter.
    Keep up the great work

My friend she lives in Germany, and she notes one thing: for a developing (fast) country like Vietnam, if you revisit it every 3-5 years, you'll be surprised by how much it has changed. This is true even for Vietnamese who live abroad (they go abroad and think they have all the most modern, latest update of the world but when they come back home they feel backward with their peers using latest tech apps. They can't even recognize their neighborhood streets anymore).
But if you revisit a developed country with the infrastructure already built well in the beginning, and you revisit it after 5 or even 10 years, you don't have that fresh, new feeling of changes.

9:36 just want to let you know that seems doesn't look like some kind of mushrooms to me, it's more like bubble pork skin or Vietnamese call it "bóng bì" they dry the pork skin in the sun then grill it, when people soak or boil it with water it will enlarge and look like a piece of sponge
My family usually make some dishes with these in Tết, stir fry with vegetable or put them in the soup they're delicious with their cool texture, specially with soup their texture hold the soup broth literally like a piece of sponge and coming out when you chew or squeeze it in your mouth
It just like eatable sponge, very fun food
