Glad to see more people jumping into the K-ON fandom recently. I fell in love with this series completely when I first watched it in 2020 and was the only anime that successfully made me cried :') Anyways this song is still amazing, lifts my spirits whenever I feel down.
I watched it in 2020 as well, one of my first anime that I ever watched… it’s just so good and it holds a very very special place in my heart to this day
Played classical guitar for three years and then only played it occasionally, but k-on made me buy an electric guitar and I'm so happy to be playing again. This is a must learn for me now. Love this anime.
I wish they released a full Mio and full Yui version of this song, along with a "5-nin" version that would have added Azusa. It's their only song from S1 that doesn't have a rhythm guitar section.
This is actually the "5nin version". In the EP8 they actually played the "Shinkan Mix" of this song, which doesn't have the second guitar and it's missing parts. This has a hard rock guitar on top (Azusa). Yui is behind playing only the melody. Also, it's pretty obvious that this song has 2 guitar (even a 3rd track in some places).
The nostalgia hits me really hard with this anime as i watched it back when i just started high school and now i'm already about graduate.. I was expecting my high school life to end up somewhat as happy as the highschool life in K-On but my relationship with people in high school wasn't really that good plus i had to study online most of the time because of covid...But welp i do hope that other people will get to enjoy their high school life to the fullest aswell as appreciating this masterpiece of an anime
I dont know how well you remember the show, but every episode of the series, at some point, showed the stairs of their school. And on the railing, as you went up, there were statues of a turtle, and a hare, slowly, as you climbed, telling a physical version of the story of the Tortoise and the Hare. The message being clear, don't race through life, slow down, e joy where you're at. K-On was never a show about high school. It was about letting go of the fear, the insecurities, and throwing yourself into something that truly called to you. Giving your best, and seeing where the road took you, and the people you would meet. You have plenty of time, Kid. Don't fret.

@@asanokatana People only do that because they don't know Japanese so when they see an english comment they get exited because it means they aren't alone in liking k-on (I know a comment in any language would mean that it's just if it's in a language you know you feel more kinship) they aren't just being self-centered
feel so late , but I'm glad that I hear this song , can't think that k-on bring me some kind of feeling that missing some moment of being young and highschool , this anime is so underrated yet wholesome

isn't this rhythm (aside from the opening/solo) I thought it was all power and barre chords.
A YuiAzu version would be great.
This song was the reason Azusa became interested in Light Music Club and joined afterwards. So its fine on its original 4nin version.
