Man, I'd never thought the ending to K-on season 2 would hit me that hard. The ending to the first season had me in smiles, but I knew the second season was going to be all about their senior year and end with them graduating. But they way they did the ending, the music(this song), the build up, the moment after the concert, and then when I heard Azusa saying please don't graduate. I was left a mess. Thank you Kyoto Animation.
Took the words right out of my mouth. I hadn't felt the intense sadness (not bad sadness) from a show that k-on brought to me before. This show made me feel in ways I had never felt before! I don't think I'll feel that way ever again about a show either. @sasuke uchiha No it’s not. K-on College ended in 2012. Honestly people bring this manga up every time someone says they miss K-on, but the thing that you have to understand about the K-on manga is that it’s very mediocre. Like, 75% of the anime is anime original content. Kyoto Animation was a newish studio at the time, so they couldn’t get the big properties to adapt, so they were like “Hey, let’s take this generic 4-koma slice of life manga and turn it into something incredible.” So they did. The anime is what truly gave K-on its heart and soul.

Now, K-on shuffle is still ongoing, but that’s about a different set of girls from a different school who happened to see the K-on girls perform during their school festival and so they started their own band. Haven’t read it, but it seems like the original girls don’t have any major role in it.

Some people say K-on could have been more focused on music like Bocchi the Rock, but to me the magic not replicable to anything else is than K-On! isn't an anime about music but about friendship. You have some moments dedicated to music and each keion training on their own, but when they're together it's most cake, tea, laziness, comum teenager stuff, daily school life and above all memories of their time together as friends which helps enhance songs like this. Almost no one would cry if they spent all those 3 years just practicing music and nothing else, but you're so attached to their friendliness than when Tenshi Ni Fureta Yo plays you insert yourself into Azunyan character not wanting them to gratuate too, after all if to her it's her friends going away to us it's a journey about friendship reaching its end...

I've just finished watching K-ON! for the first time. This year I also finished my first year of university, and I couldn't believe how fast things go the older you get. Maybe K-ON was the anime I needed to watch, maybe it was the expression of my deepest feelings about youth and the unavoidable transition we all have to make one day. Even though we know it, we can't be prepared for everything that's coming to us all at once. I also couldn't be prepared for my own tears at the end of season 2 and the movie. I really think this anime shows us the rawest depiction of the perception everybody has on youth and the changes that come with the inevitable transition into this mystical "world of adults" we talked about when we were kids. K-ON really embodies the word "slice of life" and, when we think about it, serves as a time capsule for us and for the characters in the show itself. For me, the journey this story takes us to is one of remembrance of every little things that made our part of our life special at one little moment. The photos we take, the little souvenirs we offer/leave to the next generation, the songs we dedicate to each other ; the little things we build for others and for ourselves end up becoming this complex, but also little, thing called "life". I'm glad and sad to see the animated K-ON! being finished at the end of their high school journey. But this story is already a cycle of life itself. With Sawako and her old group members, we saw the other slice of life we hadn't the opportunity to see with Hokagō Tea Time. One is married, the other became a high school teacher (if I remember correctly, Yui wanted to be a teacher when she was little), and from time to time they had the chance to meet to reminisce about the past. Of course, things wouldn't be the way they were in high school. But this is what we can be greatful for ; being with the people we love, or even finding a way to be with them. This is precious. K-ON! is a time capsule from 2011, from highschool, from the past. My condolences to the families of every person killed by the fire in the KyoAni studios. You will be remembered, and thank you for the incredible animation. Thank you Kyoto Animation for always finding a way to make me cry for some reason lol. From an 18 year-old, soon to be 19. Just finished Season 2 and the Movie today! I didn't expect to cry during K-On, but Tenshi Ni Fureta Yo definitely had me shed tears. I'm really going to miss not having new episodes of K-On to watch 😭

Everytime i hear this song it brings tears to my eyes TT TT, K-on! Was literally the first ever anime I'vewatched that has made me cry..Any other anime that i watch and hear has never made me cry in any way at all or feel any emotions, so i honestly hold this show and song really close to my heart
K-on inspired me to be a songwriter and I even start my own band. This song might be the one that will remind me of everyone that I met in this school year. I hope that HTT will play again for a new season in their college or probably during adulthood. There are more things to conquer so I really hope that they will play again!

I grew up as a lonely kid, never being able to socialize, make friends, and be happy. Then i was recommended K-on by one of my only friends and I was finally able to enjoy the feeling of being in a friend group, smiling, laughing, and having fun. So when I watched Episode 24 of Season 2, i cried so hard, as i wasn't able to see them together, and i won't be able to feel the same again. But I'm grateful that i was able to experience having friends at all, Thank you K-on for being there at my lowest
I signed on ready to cry as I vaguely remembered seeing a video titled “The tragedy of K-on.” I got conned. But you know in a good way. Slice of life is also a great way to get rid of sadness. Though as someone who is moving away from my home town. Azusa being left behind alone hit me hard.

I can't relate to Azusa, because I never really had any close older friends in the same school that spent that much time with me over the years, but I can relate to the feeling of graduating. If you want another SoL that's almost just as good, I'd recommend "Is the Order a Rabbit?" I actually watched this show before K-on, and only after watching K-on did I realize how much the show reminded me of it. K-on is definitely more liked by me, but this is the 2nd best for many reasons. It gives the same vibe in a totally different, yet beautiful setting, inspired by the town of Colmar in France. (Still can't believe the place actually exists. It's such a nice place.) Anyway, that's all I gotta say. These are my top 2 shows for sure. They have a special place in my heart, along with the many characters and settings as well.

@@migsaltavas141 As someone who is a lot older than you, my advice is to not underestimate friends. I know it might sound cheesy, but friends were the only thing that really got me through school, and is the only thing I will miss. No matter how much school sucks or how much harder it gets (high school hit me hard, grades and mood), keep your friends close, and if you don't have any right now, go and meet some people in your school. They might stick with you your whole life.
The last episode of k-on is not the end, because k-on 'll be my friends even after. If k-on 's members say "I really love you" I will say in return "I really , really love you" K-on will stay in my heart forever.
as an incoming senior this year, during the entirety of the second season i felt closer to azusa because i realized i really didnt wanna graduate, i kinda jus wanted to stay 17 forever hearing her tell her senpai "please, dont graduate" with tears in her eyes really did hit hard for reasons i don't feel comfortable explaining to a bunch of strangers in the youtube comments section however when this song played, as the club told azusa that their graduation wasn't the end of their story, that they would still be friends forever while still looking back on the fond memories they made over the past 2 years together brought tears to my eyes, and i honestly think it was something i, and judging by the comments, a lot of others needed to hear i really REALLY am gald that, while i haven't seen them, i have friends that, to me, are like the light music club is to azusa if you're reading this and haven't watched k-on yet, i highly encourage you to and please, have a good day
Case in point: don't watch this show when you're a senior/about to graduate. I'm also a senior and I watched this all about 3 months ago. And the pain that I felt here was just so intense. I relate to both Yui and Azusa, wishing to be 17 forever, leaving friends behind, trying to move on but not being able to. This anime is very special to me, and I'm glad that I watched it thinking that it was just going to be "cute girls doing cute things"
@@dango6266 Too late, I watched it as a senior just now. This is probably my favorite anime of all time. I also watched it thinking it was going to be something like that along with some nice music. I kind of expected it to end like another music show with another twin tailed someone (Nico Yazawa). This show did just that, but amplified it (no music joke intended) to the point where a single piece of music can invoke such strong emotions. I'm so glad I watched this show though, so no regrets even if I can't stop thinking about it and being utterly devoid of the will to watch any new shows. I never really appreciated how amazing electric guitars and bands could be until I watched this show. I played piano for a bit, and now I think I'll learn the electric guitar all the way. My first song is definitely gonna be Fuwa Fuwa Time, since it doesn't seem too hard with just a few different power chords (the reason why Yui can play it). Anyway, I will forever treasure this show along with everyone else. Lets all graduate, cause it's not the end :P
Wow, i can’t say anything but, k-on hits me in the feels man, whenever I think of this song it makes me think about the times I watched, the last episode (movie) especially hit me the most because that where they perform for azu-nyan and I cried when they played the farewell song. This is the first anime I cried to (ik I have bad taste of anime) and also the first anime I finished sub and dubbed. And it will be always the anime in my heart, Alive or dead. i listen to this song all the time and im an absolute mess every time. i always cry. k on was such a light-hearted but beautiful slice of life anime. i loved it so much and i cried so much when it ended, k on has been one of those animes whos built who i am today. i really miss k on.
It's 2024 but I still remember the scene where Yui,Mio,Ritsu and Mugi cried after their Cultural Festival performance. They still want to perform for another year but they realize that there are no next year for them because they are graduating. It broke my heart seeing the bright and goofy Yui cry. And the way Azusa comforts them.😢

2021 for me, as well. I just finished watching both the television series and the movie just recently and this song left a huge emotional impact on me. Same thing applies to Brave Heart from Digimon Adventure. That aside, Houkago Tea Time 4ever! Arigatou, KyoAni!
This anime is just so different from any SOL anime back then even until now arguably, because the concept of time actually flows in this anime, most highschool anime just stuck at class 1 or 2, you just watch and enjoy the anime until BOOM, suddenly they graduate from highschool. Man

The first time I saw the scene with this song, I had heard the song, and I kind of knew it was going to be there, but at the time, I did not know what the words meant or the situation around them, and when it actually started to play, I just immediately broke down. It was the most incredible thing. This will forever be one of the best moments in all of anime for me.
I'm not one to cry at anime, but this really got me. I was only able to hold it together because my parents were in the room watching with me and I didn't really want to cry at anime in front of them.
I haven't watched K-on, but I just came across this song but remixed in osu! so I decided to download it and play it, It was a pretty fun song and a fun map. So I searched for the song in TH-cam, and the lyrics made me tear up, I'm always a happy person around my friends and family, they seldom see me cry or sad, but the lyrics of this song is just so touching, it makes me think of when my classmates graduate we may never see each other again, they'll just be forgotten memories when we graduate, of course we can still meet up. But this song just reminds me to spend every moment with my friends and family, whether it be happy or sad, because you may never know when they will be gone. Especially the lyrics *"We got used to the uniforms and the indoor shoes, and the scribbles on the whiteboard, we wonder if we have to be prepared, when we enter tomorrow."* It makes me think of all the fun activities we had when we were doing a project or a play or just simply going to school. The past was interesting, now onto the future!
Just finished Season 2 and the Movie today! I didn't expect to cry during K-On, but Tenshi Ni Fureta Yo definitely had me shed tears. I'm really going to miss not having new episodes of K-On to watch 😭

I hated on anime up until early September now I'm 8 series down or so... This one tho... I keep coming back to the song and episodes. Damn... I became a weeb after playing DDLC 🤣

Everytime i hear this song it brings tears to my eyes TT TT, K-on! Was literally the first ever anime I'vewatched that has made me cry..Any other anime that i watch and hear has never made me cry in any way at all or feel any emotions, so i honestly hold this show and song really close to my heart

K-on inspired me to be a songwriter and I even start my own band. This song might be the one that will remind me of everyone that I met in this school year. I hope that HTT will play again for a new season in their college or probably during adulthood. There are more things to conquer so I really hope that they will play again!

I grew up as a lonely kid, never being able to socialize, make friends, and be happy. Then i was recommended K-on by one of my only friends and I was finally able to enjoy the feeling of being in a friend group, smiling, laughing, and having fun. So when I watched Episode 24 of Season 2, i cried so hard, as i wasn't able to see them together, and i won't be able to feel the same again. But I'm grateful that i was able to experience having friends at all, Thank you K-on for being there at my lowest

I signed on ready to cry as I vaguely remembered seeing a video titled “The tragedy of K-on.” I got conned. But you know in a good way. Slice of life is also a great way to get rid of sadness. Though as someone who is moving away from my home town. Azusa being left behind alone hit me hard.

@@awesomechainsaw Slice of Life is an amazing cure for times of sorrow. I can't relate to Azusa, because I never really had any close older friends in the same school that spent that much time with me over the years, but I can relate to the feeling of graduating. If you want another SoL that's almost just as good, I'd recommend "Is the Order a Rabbit?" I actually watched this show before K-on, and only after watching K-on did I realize how much the show reminded me of it. K-on is definitely more liked by me, but this is the 2nd best for many reasons. It gives the same vibe in a totally different, yet beautiful setting, inspired by the town of Colmar in France. (Still can't believe the place actually exists. It's such a nice place.) Anyway, that's all I gotta say. These are my top 2 shows for sure. They have a special place in my heart, along with the many characters and settings as well.

This anime actually inspired me to learn guitar. I used to practice my scales while watching. No other show, animated or not, has had that kind of impact on me. Best slice of life so far

I know it might sound cheesy, but friends were the only thing that really got me through school, and is the only thing I will miss. No matter how much school sucks or how much harder it gets (high school hit me hard, grades and mood), keep your friends close, and if you don't have any right now, go and meet some people in your school. They might stick with you your whole life.

as an incoming senior this year, during the entirety of the second season i felt closer to azusa because i realized i really didnt wanna graduate, i kinda jus wanted to stay 17 forever
hearing her tell her senpai "please, dont graduate" with tears in her eyes really did hit hard for reasons i don't feel comfortable explaining to a bunch of strangers in the youtube comments section
however when this song played, as the club told azusa that their graduation wasn't the end of their story, that they would still be friends forever while still looking back on the fond memories they made over the past 2 years together brought tears to my eyes, and i honestly think it was something i, and judging by the comments, a lot of others needed to hear
i really REALLY am gald that, while i haven't seen them, i have friends that, to me, are like the light music club is to azusa

I'm also a senior and I watched this all about 3 months ago. And the pain that I felt here was just so intense. I relate to both Yui and Azusa, wishing to be 17 forever, leaving friends behind, trying to move on but not being able to. This anime is very special to me, and I'm glad that I watched it thinking that it was just going to be "cute girls doing cute things"
@@dango6266 Too late, I watched it as a senior just now. This is probably my favorite anime of all time. I also watched it thinking it was going to be something like that along with some nice music. I kind of expected it to end like another music show with another twin tailed someone (Nico Yazawa). This show did just that, but amplified it (no music joke intended) to the point where a single piece of music can invoke such strong emotions. I'm so glad I watched this show though, so no regrets even if I can't stop thinking about it and being utterly devoid of the will to watch any new shows. I never really appreciated how amazing electric guitars and bands could be until I watched this show. I played piano for a bit, and now I think I'll learn the electric guitar all the way. My first song is definitely gonna be Fuwa Fuwa Time, since it doesn't seem too hard with just a few different power chords (the reason why Yui can play it). Anyway, I will forever treasure this show along with everyone else. Lets all graduate, cause it's not the end :P

Wow, i can’t say anything but, k-on hits me in the feels man, whenever I think of this song it makes me think about the times I watched, the last episode (movie) especially hit me the most because that where they perform for azu-nyan and I cried when they played the farewell song. This is the first anime I cried to (ik I have bad taste of anime) and also the first anime I finished sub and dubbed. And it will be always the anime in my heart, Alive or dead. Thank you Kyoto for this 11 year old anime.

i listen to this song all the time and im an absolute mess every time. i always cry. k on was such a light-hearted but beautiful slice of life anime. i loved it so much and i cried so much when it ended, k on has been one of those animes whos built who i am today. i really miss k on.

It's 2024 but I still remember the scene where Yui,Mio,Ritsu and Mugi cried after their Cultural Festival performance. They still want to perform for another year but they realize that there are no next year for them because they are graduating. It broke my heart seeing the bright and goofy Yui cry. And the way Azusa comforts them.😢

This anime is just so different from any SOL anime back then even until now arguably, because the concept of time actually flows in this anime, most highschool anime just stuck at class 1 or 2, you just watch and enjoy the anime until BOOM, suddenly they graduate from highschool. Man

This anime was part of my childhood. It truly holds a special place in my heart. So much memories from hearing this, literally crying right now.
At first I thought I wasn’t gonna like this show, but I finally gave in and watched out of boredom and I grew so close to the characters and even started playing the electric guitar Bc it inspired me to, and I cannot listen to this damn song without tearing up bro I didn’t think it would be hitting me this damn hard

The first time I saw the scene with this song, I had heard the song, and I kind of knew it was going to be there, but at the time, I did not know what the words meant or the situation around them, and when it actually started to play, I just immediately broke down. It was the most incredible thing. This will forever be one of the best moments in all of anime for me.

I haven't watched K-on, but I just came across this song but remixed in osu! so I decided to download it and play it, It was a pretty fun song and a fun map. So I searched for the song in TH-cam, and the lyrics made me tear up, I'm always a happy person around my friends and family, they seldom see me cry or sad, but the lyrics of this song is just so touching, it makes me think of when my classmates graduate we may never see each other again, they'll just be forgotten memories when we graduate, of course we can still meet up. But this song just reminds me to spend every moment with my friends and family, whether it be happy or sad, because you may never know when they will be gone. Especially the lyrics
