This is great advice! What would you suggest if the attorney asks a yes or no leading question that doesn’t have a clear yes-no answer and is misleading to answer? I’ve seen that a lot online… the yes, but… and they say “just answer the question.”
They way to hand this is answer the yes... but then have your attorney do a redirect right after the cross examination, and then you can finish explaining the added part to the yes.
I have been Diagnosed with complex PTSD after 25 years of covert emotional Narcissistic abuse. Working very hard on my healing but I’m so Nervous the stress of court it’s going to trigger the PTSD and have me come Across Flustered in front of the judge. Any advice would really help.
hey mickey how did it go for you? I am in the same boat as you and the courts cant get it they wont get it and they dont want to get it. I basically had a melt down during the first recess and didnt even go back. But I cant suggest trying to cross examaine your ex if he/she is anything like mine it was her talking over me rolling her eyes giving irrelevant testimony not just answering yes or no questions it was a nightmare the best part anytime i would attempt to get her back on track the judge would tell me to stop being argumentative with the witness LOL
Thank-you for sharing!
