I mean, the only alternative I can really think of off the top of my head is the End theme if they want to use C418 music. It's the only one that fits the "bombastic" feel of the trailer if that is the right word. Compared to all of the other songs which is calm aside from Pigstep which is a music disc, not even by C418. If you don't know what the end theme is, you can probably find it on TH-cam somewhere. Skip to about 8:25 in the song where it's not very calm but also not screaming in your ears... Speaking of which, you should maybe turn the volume down to be safe.

To follow up your point it looks like the good kind of fun and unserious. I don't know why but I think some people wanted this big phenomenal movie that speaks about a really deep message but let's be honest it's Minecraft. It's simplicity and unserious. This is what makes it fun and special.
My only issue is that it would be better as a 1980s Mario Bros esq extreme parody, but a lot of the actors just look uncanny and the lines in the trailer are all for very young audiences (like bro saying it got dark...) Like there's probably some gold and good potential, but they could've literally dropped half the cast and it would probably be a better movie. I think a lot of people just see this type of thing and feel a lack of respect, like we don't expect a perfect Minecraft movie but so much from the art style, to the music, to the lack of subtly - it's all so opposite of what Minecraft actually is that it feels like the movie isn't actually celebrating anything about Minecraft. Rather, they've tokenized it into "Blocks" and comedy relief Jack Black Steve.

this was a passion project for so many people involved, jack black is famously a huge minecraft fan and being a father playing minecraft with his kids he often said was and is a huge bonding moment, esp for people of the generation that raised children that played minecraft with them. combining meme culture and shenanigans is just icing on the cake, is it going to be a masterpiece of cinema? 9:39 people are so used to marvel’s insane use of CGI for literally everything nowadays that they assume every movie has cgi props nowadays. But like a good chunk of the sets they’re on are like fully built out and I think most everything they’re touching is a fully realized prop. And it’s honestly so cool. Say what you want about the cgi or whatever, but the set design and props are super cool

The props range from “cool” to “this looks cheap as hell,” but overall they’re fine. What I’m really interested in is the story, and judging by the trailers we have, it’s not gonna be anything special or anything specifically Minecraft related. I’m guessing it’s just a generic “everyone can be creative” type of story. I KNOW people will say “it’s a kids movie, it’s not made for you,” but like, there are countless examples of media targeted towards kids that are genuinely amazing and appealing to all ages. Kids deserve better than this, and Minecraft fans deserve better than this.
When people say its a kids movie, they dont look at the fact that most of the audience were kids when the movie was announced 10 years ago. So not catering to us who waited for 10 years kinda sucks.

It gets frustrating when you've gone through these same disappointments for 30+ years. Also, hating on the Sonic trailer is how people got studios to at least make him not look like Sanic for that movie. Sometimes, the negative feedback is needed to try to course correct utter nightmare fuel. Cats didn't listen... look what that ended up as. I wish they would listen and fix some of the visuals in the MC movie, at least so it could have a little bit more of a chance. Okay I think I got it. I’m posting this now just in case I’m right. The girl teases(or dares) the boy to go into the mines, seen in the intro, they get stuck, then the woman and guy(apparently a garbage man?) rush in after them then the boy(or girl perhaps) finds the “tesseract” and proceeds into the portal it somehow creates. I’m guessing “Steve” opened the portal once specifically to throw the tesseract through because he didn’t want to leave. But by the end of the movie he’ll want to go back, even though he’s been there a long time. Or he’s forced to leave because of the invading army that is obviously the plot.

@MusicMonkey5555 I don't know about you but I wouldn't buy it if they would make it a mass product. The fact that these props were made specifically for the movie is what makes them interesting. I don't wanna have a remake, I want to point at a scene in a movie and say "That's what I'm holding in my hand right now!" 100K is over-exaggerated. This movie has so many props, if they would sell every single one for 100K they would make more money with that than with the movie itelf. Also remember that these things would otherwise just get thrown away. My serious assumption is actually that the creators of the movie get to keep some of the props and the vast majority just goes to the trash.
Hello CaptainSparklez (Jardon). I feel like you should write a letter to whoever is making the Minecraft movie and say that it should be based on your Fallen Kingdom series. I don't mind the trailer for it, but I think making your Fallen Kingdom series into a movie will catch more people's attention because it actually tells a great story of the history of Minecraft and the battle between the Overworld and the Nether and The End as well. Just my opinion.

Okay I think I got it. I’m posting this now just in case I’m right.
The girl teases(or dares) the boy to go into the mines, seen in the intro, they get stuck, then the woman and guy(apparently a garbage man?) rush in after them then the boy(or girl perhaps) finds the “tesseract” and proceeds into the portal it somehow creates. I’m guessing “Steve” opened the portal once specifically to throw the tesseract through because he didn’t want to leave. But by the end of the movie he’ll want to go back, even though he’s been there a long time.
Or he’s forced to leave because of the invading army that is obviously the plot.

@1Kekz I mean yeah that would be cool, but I'm guessing the production wouldn't scale and it would be in the 100k range or something insane. I want to see like 50-100 that is a bit more realistic and more people could get.
@MusicMonkey5555 I don't know about you but I wouldn't buy it if they would make it a mass product. The fact that these props were made specifically for the movie is what makes them interesting. I don't wanna have a remake, I want to point at a scene in a movie and say "That's what I'm holding in my hand right now!" 100K is over-exaggerated. This movie has so many props, if they would sell every single one for 100K they would make more money with that than with the movie itelf. Also remember that these things would otherwise just get thrown away. My serious assumption is actually that the creators of the movie get to keep some of the props and the vast majority just goes to the trash.
Hello CaptainSparklez (Jardon). I feel like you should write a letter to whoever is making the Minecraft movie and say that it should be based on your Fallen Kingdom series. I don't mind the trailer for it, but I think making your Fallen Kingdom series into a movie will catch more people's attention because it actually tells a great story of the history of Minecraft and the battle between the Overworld and the Nether and The End as well. Just my opinion.

and theres two undeniable terraria things in this trailer the 2d mining scene with the skeletons and the zombie hand steve used which are both a very teraria thing

they should've grabbed minecraft youtubers (the ones who are cool like sparklez) & have them learn how to act for the roles, that would have been fire. also i like jack black, but steve is not build like a gobblegum, he's built like a zyzz type of guy but short.

I just wish the entire movie was animated/cgi, the jumanji approach or being put into a game is cool, but with how different mc is and everything being squares and such, having real people just doesnt fit at all imo. A full cgi and animated movie of this would've honestly been incredible.
