Move mask evolution into negative values instead of positive. Also you might need to adjust the start/end width so that the "tail" is facing the other way

Bro! when change the " composite settings " to transparent nothing happens! it's still the back screen with the mask, my bottom video layer doesn't change ! am I missing something ?
Try setting the layer mode to screen, see if that helps
i tried this and i only had a black screen with the blue light, i fixed it by making a solid tho. But how do you do it without making a solid?

Create a mask using pen tool with any shape you want and the rest is the same
It does not give me a track mask option when I click on mask. What could be the problem?
Have tracker window open, select the mask and click track forward while mask is selected
hi, please help. i am using the pen tool to cover a specific shape and it is making random curves which are ruining the effect. i am not using rotobezier either

You will have to adjust the vertices by pulling the handles on them I suppose
How do you make the saber effect follow the speed ramp from the car footage? if the footage is reversed, the saber is reversed too
Track the video after you adjust the speed and then apply saber

so i downloaded the plugin but when i type in saber into the effects and presets nothing shows up?
You've got to install it properly, once it's in the plugins folder it should show up

Increase the value for mask evolution or decrease the distance between the keyframes

I can't for the life of me get the track mask to appear when I right click on the mask. Please help!! I'm running AE 2023
Enable tracker window from the window drop down at the top, select the mask and track it via the tracker window

You need to install it first

Double check if you have created the keyframes so the animation happens
I don't have the ellipse tool, why?
If you click and hold the shape tool, ellipse as well as other options will come up

That means you added the mask to a single frame and not the rest of the clip
