ThatViolaKid love your content, I was also “late starter” starting with the violin in 5th grade, and the fact that you did the same thing and made it to Juliard is really inspiring to me!
2:03 Drew is currently contemplating life. He never knew that you weren't supposed to play with broken strings. He doesn't even know what the point of living is anymore.
LMAO AT 4:48 THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN ORCHESTRA REHEARSAL. My friend didn't wanna take off a piece of hair from his bow and the whole class started attacking him.
Good to see you guys having fun. I 've watched some of your "older" stuff these days like you playing the Brahms Sonata. You 're an excellent violist. I like your sound very much. It 's so clear, almost like of a violin and at the same time so rich. I would like to hear more of your viola playing. Are you doing any classical chamber music at the moment?
Good video. For another video TVK's classroom, you should make a video on how to get the most out of scales. The different types of scales for example, how to know when to use the right scales, WHY you should do scales. Basically a scale based video. I know it *seems* obvious but it would be really helpful for beginners. To a beginner, scales might seem really boring (at least from my experience) so maybe showing why they're essentail, would lead em down the right path.
Hey TVK, im currently looking for a viola as im at the point where I need a proper viola instead of trash rentals. What are some things I should look for and try when trying out a viola for purchase? Thanks and keep up the great work!
Hey Drew! I just started creating videos and now that I make some I can really appreciate how much work you put into editing your videos! Awesome job man!
Hey! Your videos are so helpful and interesting! I've been playing cello for about two and half years and am now in 8th grade. At this point, I don't know what colleges to consider, but I do know with all of my heart that I want to be some kind of music major. Even though I have about six years of experience in piano and vocals, I'm not sure that I will have what it takes by the time I am a senior because of the age I started playing cello. My life is basically based around music, and I practice every single day (because I enjoy it). Your story is very inspiring and it's good that you give honest advice. What kind of private teacher did you have? Who is your favorite composer? When did you purchase your own instrument? How much had you progressed in your first three years of playing?
I had private teachers from my local symphony orchestra, but I didn't start studying with them until I was about your age. I progressed a TON under their tutelage. You can definitely get good enough in four years--especially if you do what your teacher says :)
HI ! I don't know if you're still in Juilliard, but I wanted to know if it could be possible to have the testimony of someone from the voice class who could explain how they spend their day in Juilliard. You see, I am French and I want to know if this could be the right school for me, and it would really help to see how voice students and opera students spend their days at the school. I dream to get into this school but I also want to know if it is worth the English practice and the money you have to put in these studies.
I have a request, have you seen the Viola roast of TwoSetViolin? May its time for the empire to strike back. Is there chance that you would roast violin players?

No joke though, it would be really cool to have a 5-string 44cm viola. The only problem is rarity, price and quality. 😬

The Lick at 1:28 in the background music
It's been awhile TVK :)
TVK tech us to tune our instrument
I went to her store to get a bag but she doesn't make them anymore.
I have a request, have you seen the Viola roast of TwoSetViolin? May its time for the empire to strike back. Is there chance that you would roast violin players?
You think I should?!?
I think you are the one viola player on youtube... yes, if someone you are the only one.
and I love your channel! It is one of the reason why I kept playing viola.
????? You still upload
I do! I've had quite the crazy few months! Hope you won't hold it against me!!!
Although humidity and what not is important, I believe the healthiest place to keep a violin would be as far away from any viola as possible.
That hurts brooo lolol
But I'm a violinist...
Lolol
