Formuler IR Remote Programing Issues?

Like many others I had issues programing my Formuler IR Remote to control my TV and the support is pretty much non existant. I would follow directions EXACTLY as described but they would not control my TV. Even though both remotes still worked fine by themselves I put FRESH batteries into both remotes and it took programing. I suspect that even if the batteries are slightly worn down that effects the ability for the Formuler remotes to take programing. I also , unplugged my IR extention cord during programing tho I don't feel programing issues are tied to that extention.
