I guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Apollo Corbin Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This is awesome content B. Lat, I am a few months away from owning my first bass boat, and these were things I needed to hear and take heed of. Thank You. Tight Lines Brotha!!!
Thanks a lot. I test drove a bass boat today (my first ever bass boat) and it was nerve racking since I have never been more than 15mph on the water. Its definitely going to be a lot to get used to and learn. Thanks for posting
Man excellent video. Most boaters don’t explain the importance boat control and safety this good. Everyone one should watch this video rather they own a boat or not. Incase they ever with a boater who doesn’t prepare themselves for the safety on the water. Big 👍👍👍
Thanks for the video. I bought a Champion 210/250 Merc and struggled to find something on this topic 3 months ago. You the man. I finally figured out to get the boat on plane from the school of hard knocks. It was scary with the bow up for so long but finally figured out on my particular boat that my steering wheel trim lever didn't trim quick enough. The trim buttons on the throttle control gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Once on plane, the final adjustments for optimal speed/fuel economy and the porpoising is done with the steering wheel trim lever. Helpful to know that the trim is your brake too. Didn't know that. Make sense now. Love your channel! Would benefit from a video on hole shots in shallow water without a hydraulic jack plate.
There is no difference between the steering wheel buttons and the trim button on the shift/ throttle handle... unless you're just not pushing the steering wheel trim button hard enough to make contact. There both just 12 volt switches that run into two wires on your trim motor
Thanks B Lat this video was very helpful, I'm a first time bass boat owner and this information is extremely helpful. I'm going to use these techniques on the water. Thanks again B Lat good luck to you.
Just recently purchased a 2018 Tracker Pro Team 195 TWX 40th Anniversary Edition . First boat I own! The tips you gave in this video were great and will be very useful. Thanks
A great video for bass boat owners. Driving a bass boat compared to pleasure craft is a whole different beast. It took me a while to figure out much of what you just talked about because I had no one to teach me. Safety first each and every time I get in my boat for me and my passengers.
Awesome timing, I just brought home my first real boat tonight. My last boat was a 1983 basstracker 1 with fixed trim. Felt like a canoe with a motor. Good tips, I'm sure they will serve me well. Thanks 👍😎👍
Great advice brother I appreciate you sharing..I’m new to the bass boat thing so this video was very informative and I will definitely use your tip and advice…thanks …
Mr. Latimer, thank you for this advice. No one shown me very much about my 1st new boat and I nearly killed myself and a friend by hitting the wake of a pontoon boat on a calm day at full throttle and trimmed all the way up. Being an experienced, I did not anticipate and could not see the wave clearly. I also did not know the wake That a pontoon boat can produce. I'll bet this may save some serious injury and lives. Tight lines. I'll be following you on tour and on you tube in the future.
I'm a motorcyclist and kayaker, same thing... pay attention, if not sure, SLOW DOWN. Open up the area around you, gives you time to react... better late than hurt... Good common sense reccomendations, I like it. That's why we watch you. 😎👍
Oh yeah, and if you see a kayaker, run by them closely at full speed screaming "Eat My Wake!". 🙄 Wish someone would post something about boating courtesy.
Pure awesomeness B Lat,,,, these new boats are monsters and most newer boaters have tunnel vision, I wish more pros would give tips on driving styles, my home lake is hartwell probably home to some of the worst boaters, not only they can’t keep boat under control, ie shine walking they also don’t know that there are rules of navigation, keep throwing tips out there, you’ll probably save someone’s life, ✌️ #putegoincheckbesafeoutthere
New rods and reels: $1500. New electronics: $12000. Proper trim use: Priceless. Great tips B Lat. Just this morning saw a new boat, probably $65k worth, porpoising up the lake for miles. Bet he was complaining that he spent all that dough and the new boat rides like a rodeo bronc. Should watch your video. Thanks.
What speed do you typically run? I'm looking to upgrade boats soon and I am looking for at least an 18 foot boat with a 150. More than likely I will get a 19 or 20 with anything from a 175-225. I know the lakes I fish most guys run wide open, but when I went with a friend in a 20 foot ranger he only cruised about 35.
Hey B Lat. love the content, we have property down in reed creek on hartwell but I am always worried when I do a run about laydowns I am not aware of. Do you have any recommendation or maps I can download for my lowrance that would show dangerous spots?
You should also do a video for beginners so they know about common courtesy such as being untied for you back up to the rampand also once you get your boat on the trailer just pulled on up for you start fixing everything and give people room if you can it would be a good subject for video I believe
Excellent reference piece! I want to burn it and hand it out to the weekend warriors. Trim is so important and not even the people who sell boats seem to know that; which would explain the nightmare scenes I have run into over the years in not only bass and flats boats, but sailboats, CCs, six-pack charters, and even jon boats...
One important detail you left out is making sure your in deep enough water ie. Depth finder/ color of water before you start giving gas so you don't hit anything down below. That engine sinks down almost a foot on take off and you surely don't want to hit a piling or stump let alone churn some mud. Happy Boating
Well done. Answered a couple of questions I had, thanks. I'm a first time visitor to your channel, won't be the last. Just subscribed. I live in Calgary Alberta and have fished for many, many years. This year I'm doing a bucket list trip to Winefred Lake in northern Alberta. Lookin for trophy Walleye and Pike. Thanks again Brian and take care.
Hey Brian...thanks for the tips. I'm a fairly new boat owner and I have a question for you. I have a hydraulic jack plate on my bass boat and honestly, other than lifting it to fish in shallower water and lifting it to exit the water onto the trailer, I don't use it all that much when I'm actually cruising on the lake. Do you engage yours often in conjunction with trimming while actually moving on the water? Thanks in advance.
One thing to be aware of is the water that's moving across the water pickup holes on the side of the gear case........ you don't want to raise up the motor too high as to overheat the motor from not enough water pressure... don't let the cavitation plate come out of the water. And remember when you make a turn at high speeds and high trim and jackplate high you will blow out your prop! You can easily catch a rake and get flipped out the boat..
I drive a 17ft boat with a 90, some times going slow is a bad idea for me in rougher water. I have a 5mph window I can work with where I don’t get beat to death.
On older go fast bass boats , champions included , balancing your boat port to starboard is crucial to minimize chine walk. I installed a large carpenter's level on the front deck of my bullet . Set the boat tilted slightly port side to account for engine torque and it will minimize chine walk. I would also keep 15-20 1lb bags of lead shot to rearrange to account for different passenger weight.
I HAVE A BIG LEARNING CURVE AHEAD OF ME going from 16 foot deep V with 40 Evinrude to Xpresss H20 200 SHO (2012 side console) keep respect and lots of practice in calm conditions, the more patience I have the faster I learn
Man I look up too you. I started watching your videos and I fell in love with boating and fishing. Now I have a boat and I'm learning how to fish as I go. I'm not sure about the States, but over here in Canada I don't usually see many black guys out on the water, so thanks again for the motivation and I'll continue to watch your videos.
Great advise! One thing new owners should know, and some not too new owners! Running fast! Trimmed out! DONT make fast hard jerky turns! You might get ejected!! You see n the video of the two Guys flying down the lake? The driver is looking at his graph ,while his friend is pointing at the buoy their fixing to hit.. last second the driver jerks the wheel left then back to the right.. next second both of them go out the starboard side! There's a video look it up! Plus Dude isn't wearing a lanyard to his kill switch! So the boat is circling ! Another boat picks up the guy , they chase down the runaway boat ! And dude jumps onto the runaway and saves his boat! Could have ended tragically!!
How about a video on bassholes driving 3 wide on a narrow river jumping each others wake and running on coming traffic toward the bank? Jet skiers and cruiser boats are not the only ones that are not courteous.
Everyone one does fishing tips, it's nice to see someone do boating tips. Keep up the great work
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account??

Great timing my friend, I just bought my first boat this last weekend!
Lucky man!
Ha same!! This week! Lund Pro Sport 17’... Dying to go out and be on the water again..
Same

Same here, I was nervous as hell. Definitely not the same as bank fishing
Man excellent video. Most boaters don’t explain the importance boat control and safety this good. Everyone one should watch this video rather they own a boat or not. Incase they ever with a boater who doesn’t prepare themselves for the safety on the water. Big 👍👍👍
And we need to share this one. I've been on the lake with people that had no clue how to drive a boat. Great tutorial sir.
Thanks for the video. I bought a Champion 210/250 Merc and struggled to find something on this topic 3 months ago. You the man. Your correct, I figured the same out as well. Throttle trim to plane from there fine tune with steering trim
There is no difference between the steering wheel buttons and the trim button on the shift/ throttle handle... unless you're just not pushing the steering wheel trim button hard enough to make contact.
There both just 12 volt switches that run into two wires on your trim motor
Great job and a much needed subject! Need more guys putting these types of videos out.
One of my favorite videos on TH-cam. Any new boat owner should watch this.
Outstanding advice and wonderfully executed ! Too many people on the water these days who have no idea what they are doing .

The best video on bass boats I've seen. Very tricky trying to learn to stop or slow down with that wake behind you
I am a newbie, but the way you broke it down, even I can undestand it. Great job.
Great video BLat!!!!!
excellent vid. I love your presentation. and you speak very well. plz keep these videos coming

Good info just subscribed and watch your videos with my son who is on the high school team this year thanks man
Oh yeah, and if you see a kayaker, run by them closely at full speed screaming "Eat My Wake!". 🙄 Wish someone would post something about boating courtesy.
Boating courtesy seems to be a mystery for many boaters. Most don't even know how to over take or give way leading to accidents on the water.
Thanks properly spoken. Learn from you. Thx.
Thanks for the tips. I just bought my first bass boat. This video was very helpful.
Awesome video. Absolutely awesome. Share this guys!!!!! Thanks B-Lat!!!!!
I would argue that the most important thing in my boat could be Brian Latimer as a fishing partner⚓🧭🎣🇺🇸🍻😀
Great content for a new boater like me, thanks!
Thanks for making this video for us BLat! This will be a great resource for us to send folks to when they're buying a new boat.

Love your Videos. Keep em
Coming. Very informative. Good job.
From a guy who lives close to Little Buffalo State Park, great video!
This video is great. Finally someone made this.
For sure your last tip is number one
Awesome video looking for bass boat now ,just checking different brands
Trim down
Peg throttle
Get on plane
Bring throttle back
Trim up
Cruise and enjoy 👍🏻
You should also do a video for beginners so they know about common courtesy such as being untied for you back up to the rampand also once you get your boat on the trailer just pulled on up for you start fixing everything and give people room if you can it would be a good subject for video I believe
Joining a bass club helped me learn all those things before I even bought a boat. When the ramp is busy, courtesy is very important.
Right now I'm on the mission of trying to catch my first bass, great video though.
What guide is on the front of the trailer to help get the bow of the boat up?
Great tips. Really enjoyed your video
Awesome video!
Watching how to drive a bass boat while only owning a kayak😂 #ONEDAY
Same here man😂
I got bassboat and kayak....I understand you pain.
GREAT VIDEO . THANK YOU .
I don't even have a boat and I'll probably never have a bass boat, but I still enjoyed this. Maybe one day I'll have a jon boat. 😁

Thanks for this video. I don’t own a boat i am in the market for one and no one has a detailed review on learning how to operate a boat
Hey Brian...thanks for the tips. I'm a fairly new boat owner and I have a question for you. I have a video on that. It’s all hull specific. It just depends on your boat
One thing to be aware of is the water that's moving across the water pickup holes on the side of the gear case........ you don't want to raise up the motor too high as to overheat the motor from not enough water pressure... don't let the cavitation plate come out of the water. Great stuff B.Lat!
Great Video B-Lat!
Have you done any videos on organizing a bass boat for performance?
Thank you very helpful video. Stay safe on the
How about chiming at high speeds any pointers B.Lat? My champion boat really chimes.
Seat time and trim. There’s very few boats that you have to drive nowadays.
Alright thanks dude 👍.

But if you trim down and stop quickly like most do in a fishing tournament is there a chance of flooding the engine with water from the wake ?
No sir
Good video man! Thanks!
Thank you, that was very helpful.
Call me a noob but I actually found that really informative. Thanks dude.. Subscribed!
Thanks for watching
No pigeon hole, my dude can teach on all things Fishing
👊🏾thanks my dude
You the man B Lat
I would love to see a video on tournament blast off driving I’ve seen a few shotgun starts that have almost ended in disaster

Wileyx ignite series
Ummm, les'seee... they're like porsche's with no brakes, right? 🤔😋
